Some railroad tracks on the south side of town (the sticks)
While on the way home, a bus full of first and second graders broke down while driving across these railroad tracks. Rather than going to look for help, the driver told the children to get off the bus and push it across the tracks; they were struck down by a train. Now it is said that if one drives to the site and puts the car in neutral, it will be pushed over the tracks. Allegedly if one spreads baby powder on the back of the car before going to the site, he will see fingerprints when he leaves.

I have already explained this on another “haunted hill” story. It is call a grvity hill. It has something to do will gravity and the rotation of the earth. But yes, this place really is haunted.

Great urban legend, yet, stilljust another urban legend.
Years ago, a local television station (KENS-5)contracted a surveyor to officially establish the roadway’s angle. They claimed the street surface was actually at a declination of 2 degrees as it approaches the railroad track crossing, despite an illusionary appearance of a level, or even slightly inclined road.
It is also confirmed that there was no record found that would substantiate the story of a school bus crash nor of children that were not specifically schoolchildren, but a church or youth group.
The Crossing is located on
Villamain rd,after crossing it changes to Shane road that connects to Southton Rd.
As for hand prints revealed upon bumpers or trunks, I must point out that latent fingerprints can be lifted from some objects years after they are made; crimes have been solved thusly. The seemingly self evident conclusion must be that any surfaces displaying hand prints were not properly cleaned to begin with, disqualifying the results. If you intend to experiment with powder on your bumper, clean the surface first using a degreasing agent.
The nearby streets are actually named after the kids of a land developer named McCreless, but the popular notion is to attribute the names to the dead children.

I’ve never had the opportunity to go but, i’m planning on it with my friends. I wasn’t sure if the sotries were true but i know someone who actually went and took pictures around there. On one of the pictures you can see a little girl who wasnt there at the time they took the pic.

This story is soooo true. Ive actually been there with my cousin and uncle. the reason the children push your car over the tracks is because they dont want you to get hurt and as long as ppl keep going there and doing this, the spirits of the children CANNOT rest in peace. So im asking everyone who is thinking about goin “Please dont go, and let these poor children rest in peace”

I have heard about this legend. But this happened a long time ago and it might’ve been lost in records along the way. However, I heard about it because I’m always interested in paranormal things such as this. I come from a culture where paranormal phenomena is acceptable in cultural beliefs. I have experienced some myself as a kid and still remembers them. The kind I have seen are not transparent or floating in air. They are more of shadowy figures and like us- a solid human figure. However, they will disappear in a matter of time when you don’t notice them for a second.
About this story, I have seen it in these documantry ghost stories where ghost investigators goes and find the most haunted places in America and this railroad was included. In the video, you’ll see this railroad while a lady put some powder on her rear bumper and her car in neutral. She sits in the car while the car just goes up the hill, across the railroad and over to the other side. She gets out and it shows little hand prints and finger prints where the powders were.
It was said that a bus was carrying kids on when it came across the tracks. Suddenly the bus died or somehow it might’ve gotten stuck on the tracks. The train came and hit the bus with the kids on it.
So the legend of this story goes to say that who ever stop at the railroad will get push by these ghostly little hand prints to the other side to safety only.

born and raised in San Antonio …it is ture..been there alot of times and it works..I thought it was a bunch of bull **** but its not. However if you do the thing with the powder you should wash the car off to get rid of all the finger or handprints that ight be on the car..drive to the tracks and right before you go on them put the powder on the back of the car…you will see no handprints..drive up to the tracks put your car in netrual and your car will move over the tracks. affter you are over them there will be small hand prints.

It works, I have tried it!! But the story is told different. It was a bus that had stalled on the tracks and was struck by an oncoming train. To prevent the same thing from happening again, the children push your car over the tracks. When we were trying it, some people were using a ball and it would roll up the hill, over the tracks, and down. It’s really freaky!

I live about 2 miles from the tracks.Yes, if you put your car in neutral it will be pushed over the tracks but no buss accidents were ever reported there. It is a fun thing to late night anyway but be warned, police don’t like all the people being there so late and will often show up.

Okay, I have never been there but I do believe it because I’ve heard hear say and you can believe it about ghosts. For those of you who do not believe it don’t trust it until you try it.

I HAVE BEEN THERE AND IT ACTUALLY HAPPENED. WE PUT BABY POWDER ON MY SONS CAR AND THERE WERE 2 TINY HANDPRITNS. THERE IS ALSO A PLACE IN OKLAHOMA WHERE THIS HAPPENS GOING UP A HILL. IT WAS SAID THAT A SLAVE WAS KILLED THERE FOR TRYING TO ESCAPE AND IF YOUR CAR IS PARKED THERE HE WILL TRY TO PUSH IT TO GET IT GOING AGAIN. THIS ALSO WORKS! I THINK IT IS THE NEATEST THING!

alot of stories like that have been told here in el paso tx and some people believe its true but my brother tried it and nothing happened so to be this is just a story someone made up because they were bored, and i looked up any *bus crash* in san antonio and el paso and found nothing so maybe something else is doing that in san antonio, but not in el paso

that’s a bunch of ****. everybody that’s saying it’s true and they saw this or that…is totally lying!!!
a guy that writes for san antonio express news spilled
the beans last halloween. there was NEVER a bus crash there. there is NO RECORD of anything like that ever happening. people started making that mess up to make halloween a little more scarier. in fact, my friend put his car in neutral and he said cars roll because of the slight incline (a small hill) by the tracks and he never saw any fingerprints or heard any voices.

I saw on some show that they went to those railroad tracks and they said that the fingerprints that are left are your own. Whenever you go over the railroad tracks the excess baby powder comes off and you are left with the prints from hands that closed the trunk. And there are no kids that died in the bus, there is no record of it in San Antonio archives. The names of the neraby streets are they names of the man who paid for the renovations of some nearby buildings. That is what I saw ans believe.
