Some railroad tracks on the south side of town (the sticks)
While on the way home, a bus full of first and second graders broke down while driving across these railroad tracks. Rather than going to look for help, the driver told the children to get off the bus and push it across the tracks; they were struck down by a train. Now it is said that if one drives to the site and puts the car in neutral, it will be pushed over the tracks. Allegedly if one spreads baby powder on the back of the car before going to the site, he will see fingerprints when he leaves.

I’ve been there and yes, you do go over the tracks and all, but I think there has to be other reasons for it. Something scientific like magnetic pulls or something. I believe in ghosts, but I don’t think they are here. And the railroad, school bus thing? I’ve lived in Texas, Iowa, Indiana, and Illinois and those stories are told everywhere there’s a spooky railroad track. I think buses need to be more careful. I agree that the mental hospital is much spookier if you are on that side of town anyways. But be careful when you go there because its right next to a jail or something and they’ll tow your vehicle and site you for trespassing.

I`ve been there twice the first time I put baby powder and saw the finger/hand prints the 2nd time I wased my car and made sure not to get finger prints on it and then put the baby powder on it that time there were no finger prints/hand prints. So it is true it is just our own finger prints. But belive what you want to belive.

Your car/s only move because there is a slight hill and it happens in alot of places in the US so dont think it is a dead kid it is just your finger/hand prints and a small hill even though it may not look like a hill at all there is a small hill trust me, my friends and I love to try to find scary things and if we can prove them wrong we do.

Even though it’s not true, it’s all about fun and spending your time with friends. If it was true I’d say push on your brakes and let those dead little ******** work to get your F150 over that hump, ha ha! That would be impressive!

I don’t live in Texas but I did see this story once on a documentary called “Ghost Stories” back in the mid 1990s. While I do believe in ghosts, I have heard that this particular story was made up and is not true. But, that is just what I was told.

I live in Louisiana and I remember seeing this story on telvision. It had been years ago since I have last seen anything on television about this. I would really like to go and check it out just for kicks and giggles. I will make sure to wash my car and not touch the rear of the car before I apply the baby powder. I would really like to see it so I can believe, I have to see to believe. I am really interested in what people have to say about this whole ordeal.

I have lived in San Antonio all my life and have visited the tracks on numerous occassions. For those of you that don’t know of the location, it is on the south side of San Antonio off of Military Drive. If you are in the area of South Park Mall… Start out driving EAST on Military Drive towards I35. Keep going East towards Roosevelt, you are going to pass Roosevelt Street and turn right towards the old cemetary that is off Military (the one behind Memorial Stadium),continue past the old cemetary and past the Stinson Field(where the single Engines plane land), you are then going to turn left and pass over the old bridge that is said to be the “donkey lady” bridge. Then you turn right when you reach the Aquaducts. You are going to see several different roads that lead onto Mission trails and recreation areas etc but do not turn onto these…you will get lost. you will be in an area that looks desolate, like farm area..once you see the train tracks follow them all the way down the street until the road turns left onto and over the tracks. This is the famous area that everyone speaks of! Drive past the tracks about a hundred feet, turn around and put your car in neutral. The car will be pushed if you park your car as far back as the yellow train crossing sign that is there or even if you stop right at the tracks. you will be pushed UP over the hill of the train tracks and at least three or 400 feet past the tracks! Be sure to turn the steering wheel to the right so you don’t hit the fence. Leave your car in neutral the entire time though if no one is anxiously waiting or hurrying you along to try this next…if you have the time, do it. It will push you down the street for a good couple of minutes before your car finally comes to a stop. I hope these directions are somewhat helpful. I will definitely go back soon and write down better ones like specific street names and such for folks that are visiting from out of town.

First of all we don’t know how the story is told or how it went, but me and my friends went for the Labor Day weekend. Here are the directions to this place from UTSA. Or you can mapquest it thats what we did. Find Pecan Valley Dr. and make a right then make a left onto S. New Braunfels Ave. Turn right onto S E Military Dr. then turn left onto S. Presa St. then turn right on Graf Rd. Its 9101 Graf Rd. once u pass the little tracks go straight then turn left keep going straight untill u can’t go anymore then u will see another set of railroad tracks most likely there will be people there. Make sure the back of ur car is clean before u go. Here is what we did becuz we really didn’t think it was true until we tried it 3 times and man did we freak out. Ok we were like about 3ft away from the tracks when my friend put the car in neutral and turned the car off just to make sure we had already put the baby powder on the back and i made sure there were no prints already. As we were sitting there the car all of a sudden started to move up and over the railroad tracks. I thought becuz the tracks go downhill that that is why we rolled over but when i looked at the tracks i noticed how far we were and how the hill goes up and then once u go over the tracks it goes down. For those of u who say that its becuz its a hill and thats why ur car moves look again before making ur comment. Oh and everytime we checked there were handprints. We do have pictures of everytime we went over the tracks and so do other people who were there. I suggest that if u don’t believe but have not been there then u should go and don’t believe everything u see on TV. If you haven’t been there and want to talk mess then until u have gone and experienced the little ride u take, please keep ur comments to urself. Oh, before we leave, one more thing, before u send ur comment, read it and make sure u spelled everything correctly!!! Don’t talk mess until you’ve actually seen this. Thank you and have a nice day!

To all those who think this myth isn’t real, here is a story.
A few days ago, my wife and my three children were taken to the train tracks for th first time by my in-laws and showed us what happens. My father in law did the usual thing stopping about twenty yards away from the tracks, putting his van in neutral and it proceeded to roll across the tracks. After is stopped, we all carefully inspected the back of his van and saw prints remarkably smaller than my oldest children’s hands who are five and six years of age (for those thinking the handprints are a result of past encounters with a vehicle prior to visiting the site). We decided to try it again, this time with the engine off. He performed the same steps, however from a complete stop we quickly lurched foward at a higher rate of speed than the previous time across the tracks. Upon crossing, the speed was constant for about thirty to fifty yards away from the intersection. It was only after my father in law applied the brakes did we stop. Afterwards, we quickly stepped out to investigate and noticed many more prints than before, including larger hands prints on either side! My two oldest children were perplexed into what was happening.
The next day, I was in the driver’s seat of my wife truck to try the same thing. Prior to trying it, my wife and I carefully inspected the tailgate area for any marks my children may have made. Upon applying a little more baby powder, we reinspected the area and nothing was apparent. With my family in the truck, we performed the routine, engine off, with stunning success. My wife and I, looked at the back and saw the faint, but familiar signs of small handprints. Acting upon a dare from my wife, my six year old and I walked towards the tracks to see if we would notice any physical changes. I asked my son if he had felt anything while standing on the tracks. At the time, I felt my arms were heavy as being pulled down and slightly away from my body , the way my kids do to get me to follow them somewhere. Without telling him anything or even hinting to him, he told me he was feeling exacatly what I was experiencing! He was understandably scared but I assured him everything was okay.
My wife decided to give it a try in the driver’s seat while my son and I stood back and watched. As the trucked rolled silently past me, I was paying close attention to the back of the truck. As I was scanning the tailgate area, I saw a print form right before my eyes!! It was a distinctive mark that was not there prior to what I saw. On a closer look, we saw more than just the one set I saw, but several smalller sets of four fingers on the lower part of the tailgate equally spaced out in pairs of two and even conataining the inner wrinkles of the finger joints. Also we noticed the same pair of larger prints on the either side if the bed area.
Some of you may think all of this story is made up, but that’s okay. I know what happen and I know what I saw and felt. Maybe the tale of the stalled bus isn’t true, but there is a presense at those tracks.
