Forgive me, Stephanie, but I must disagree. I do not say that your opinion is more wrong than mine, but I dare say I have another opinion.
I belive the ghosts we see are acctually shadows of thouse who have lived before us. Or their dreams and nightmares.
Sometimes in life so cruel things happen that they start to repeat themselves or they leave such a hard mark in the worlds soul that even people who come many years after the real happening, feel it.
It is like they have to tell it to someone, tell it that no-one could forget it. Sometimes they just crab some-one, who can see and hear it, and tell they story to him/her not careing if it hurts the listener.
Allso there are these dreams and nightmares, which can live the same mark.
And of course, there are the spirits. My grandfather, for examble stayed in his house after his dead, wondering and crying in to the night. My grandmother heard his steps in the living room. My Grandfathers picture was in the living room at that time. On night greanmother woke up as someone was staring at her. It was garndpa, sitting in the said of her bed looking blue. My grandmother whisperd “What’s wrong?” but then smiled. “Silly me..” She then walked to the livin room, took the picture of gandpa and take it to he bedrum an the night desk. After that, my grandfather appeard never again in full form. He just wanted to be with his love.
I live in Finland and here it is not unusual to hear about maahinen. They are some kind of demons, but usually they are harmless as long as you don’t mess with them. One of my friends, and his brother has seen them, and I have seen some kind of a troll in my schoolpath. Not every finn has had such experiment, but i had, and I’m glad for it. Spirits do exist, not that you have denied it. They aren’t all demons, and they aren’t all dreams. Only thing actually, what they have incommon is that there are only few who belive in them. And more fewer, who can see them.

On my last trip to Colorado, I was bruised and chilled by these ghosts.
I drank some hot chocolate, then got drunk to make me forget about my bruises.
As I watched cartoons through the night, one of the ghosts kicked me. I felt threatened so I told him to stop and then he did.

In order to understand hauntings you have to know what you’re talking about. There are several different types of hauntings. Normally in a residual haunting something happened to leave an imprint on the land itself. It’s not really that there’s a spirit or a ghost trapt there, it’s just kenetic energy. Then you have your ghost. Ghost have their own reasons for being here. Some died either so sudden or so horrific they haven’t realized they’re dead. Others though they know they’re dead don’t choose to go to the light due to the belief that they will be harshly judged and sent to the burning hotel known as hell. Then there are spirits. When we see a spirit it is normally of a loved one coming to visit from the other side. A spirit is not trapt is not tormented or anything of the sort. They are people who have made it to the other side and are normally doing good and just dropping by to say hi.

I was in house, which is haunted, and I was just chillaxin’ in my room, when the lights went out and I heard this low grumble. I was so scared. All of the sudden, the phone flew from the table and crashed against the ground. It was so dark. I kept trying to talk with the spirit and calm it down. I did this for oh, 20 minutes. I screamed and cried in my room, begging for the ghost’s mercy. Then, out of nowhere, my house started crumbling towards the ground. It was at that point that I realized it was not a ghost attack, but a severe earthquake.
‘Oh ****,’ I thought, ‘it’s an earthquake.’

I lived in a small city called Portsmith, OH, when I was young. My family rented a two story home in this city while my father was managing the local S.S. Kresgee store, which is now known as K-Mart. The home we lived in had quite a bit of activity. We stayed there only six months. Everyone in the home was physically hurt in one form or another, all except my father.
I first remember the house was very “nerve racking”. Uncomfortable. Like something was around every corner. There were cold spots in the dining room & kitchen. We had a cat who refused to come in the home. If she did enter the home, she’d stay only in the kitchen and cry for my mother whenever she’d go down to the basement to clean the laundry. The basement. Ohhh… As a child, we love basements to play in. But this basement was uncomfortable. What’s funny is, to this day, each family member can tell you the same emotions about each of it’s rooms. When you came down the landing, there was a great room. Under the stairs was 2 foot wide hole to capture water if the basement was wet. This room had a very uncomfortable energy. To it’s right was a small narrow but long room with a window. Once you got to this room, you felt okay. To the left of the main room, were two other rooms. The first of the two rooms was the laundry room and a small shower and toilet. It was open for view. This particular room was extremely uncomfortable. You ran thru this room to get to the last room. It was small but cozy. We kids played in it on occasion and you could find our record player and toys scattered on the cement floor. One night, my older sister said she woke up and went to the kitchen for a drink. She heard our record player down stairs playing one of our Disney records. She went downstairs to turn it off, came back upstairs and got to the kitchen and heard the record player come on again. She tells me she wasted no time high-tailing it back to her room to hide under the sheets. I also have a twin sister and had a younger brother who died in a car accident years later. One morning, my twin sister woke. We shared the same room. I remember her calling and waking me to get our mother. She told me she couldn’t move her legs. They were cocked in a squatting position. I ran to get my mother. She couldn’t straighten Kelly’s legs. They took her to the hospital. The staff couldn’t straighten her legs either. She stayed over night and was released the next day after her legs relaxed. No explaination given. My older sister was rushed to the hospital one day after an accident outside the garage in the backyard. Her arm was broken and needed a cast. We were playing and she shot a styrofoam plane on the top of the garage. Kim went to get the ladder. She was almost to the top of it when the ladder appeared to violently come down. Kim struck the cement and with her crying, my mother came, off she went to the hospital. I was rushed to the hospital after playing in the basement. I was violently pushed backwards with my head hitting the cement floor. I had a concushion. I remember the physician who x-rayed me told my father just to give me anything I wanted. I instantly thought of M&M’s. I guess I was okay… My brother went crashing trough the glass door cutting his arms. He was okay. Ironically, this event happened one or two days before we left the home. I know my mother said she was trying to make a cake for us one day. She went on to say the electric blender came flying off the wall at her. She said it was difficult to go back into the kitchen. Sometimes, the pool outside would fill on it’s own. The following day, my sister would have to swim down and let the plug out. To this day, I cannot comfortably go into water above my knees. To me, there are enteties in the water. Won’t do it… There was an older lady that lived next door. When we left, she told my mother there were two old brothers who lived in the home. She said one of the brothers passed away, but no one knows how or when. She went on to write to my mother and the two of them kept in contact with each other for several years until one year the letters stopped coming.

Hello my name is Toni. My family owns the stagecoach B&B and has for about the last 3 years. I worked as a live in innkeeper there for 2 of the three years. Although some do agree that it is haunted I guarentee that in the 3 years we have owned it no one has ever recieved any kind of abuse or bruises from these “spirits”.There is also no heat sucking. Things have been reported to be moved but never in front of ones eyes.Sorry to ruin your fun, I will admit though to the footsteps at night. Also the water and lights like to turn off and on and one man reportedly heard a woman scream in the middle of the night. I can’t account for that because I didn’t hear it myself. If you really want to see if it’s haunted you can find us on the web and make a reservation. Toni

Very humorous. Some of you write about the paranormal as if there are
indisputable facts, and that you are experts in the field. Well here’s a fact:
anything and everything you state is SPECULATION. Period. Nobody knows
the truth about ghosts, demons, heaven, hell etc. Nobody. And if you think
you do, then you need to seek professional help.
Enjoy the stories and the myths for what they are, and avoid the lectures,
please.

Seems to me that rkarins summed everything up. Truth when it comes to these topics will always be nothing more than one’s perception of something being disputed or confirmed by the others who read it. In the end it means nothing except to whom every chooses to believe.

this place sounds like one house i lived in when i was 8. it was a two story farm house that had a few spookies around. there was a dog that liked my hand in the morning when i woke up and we didnt own a dog.
there was an elderly couple that walked through the hall at night.they where fine but there was a man that was violent enough to throw things at you when you had your back turned.no-one could leave their small things around like their keys on the table because theyd be gone when you go back for them and found in random places.when you hold a plate or cup you really had to hold tight or it would be riped out of your hands and smashed againgst the wall. at random times the floor would growl at you like a dog. a few bottles on the kitchen bench exploded and the bits of the bottles were never found.the radio turned on by itself at random times and still went when you unpluged it, turning the station and the volume.if you dont believe me fine.i have no evidence. i also cant tell you if ghosts are real or not but i dont get too worried about them now scince i had to live in that hole. so cheers for readin my rant. i just thought i gotta put my 2cents worth in for the hell of it.

Hi, my parents stayed at that bed and breakfast about a year ago. My mom is really, really sensitive to ghosts and occasionally she claims to have seen one. I didn’t belive her before but then she told me this story and I saw something that happened to my dad. Well I think it was at that B&B, but anyways they had eaten dinner (Which they said was really good) and went up to their room to get some sleep. My mom said that it started getting cold in the room so they closed the window. That helped for a couple of minutes but then it started getting cold again. My mom went to go and find someone to show her how to turn up the heat. She said she and my dad heard voices outside their door so she went to find the lady continued…
Kokokabana says: |
September 27, 2007, 7:22 pm |
My mom saw a woman who was dressed in rather odd clothing and then walked up to her but then the lady poofed (For lack of a better word) into thin air. My mom was freaking out! She went back to the room and a chill ran down her spine. She got a feeling like she was falling down real fast, even though she was standing still. That was the feeling she usually got when there was a ghost around. She climbed into bed and then snuggled close to my dad and imagined the spirit wasn’t there… she started falling asleep and then my dad tensed up and she could feel his hair standing on end, he had goosebumps too. He then asked her why she had touched his leg and she said she didn’t. Then it felt like someone else had gotton onto the bed and was sitting on the foot of the bed. They tried not to think about it. continued again…
Kokokabana says: |

just then my dad’s phone started playing the song it played when he got a new text message, they looked at his phone and there were some letters on the screen, xoxoxoxoxo. My dad was freaking out because his phone had been turned off and locked. They tried to go to sleep and were unable, the other presence in the room kept them awake by quietly whispering. The next morning they found out some girls had been murdered in their room. This is a true story I swear.

this is a little late to be writing. but for people like rkarins, the ones that say people are wrong or naiive for believing and stating their experinences, i think you need to stop getting so offended by people’s beliefs and let them believe what they want to. i think people should have the right to believe and say what they want, without people like rkarins, discouraging them. just thought i would put my 2 cents into the matter.
rkarins says: |
January 2, 2008, 9:51 pm |
Yo Tay – it’s one thing to ’state one’s beliefs’ and it’s another to proclaim them the absolute truth. The point of the post was not to discourage, but to remind people that there is no measuring stick with which to measure, compare and validate any ‘evidence’ as it pertains to paranormal activity.
I am not offended by people relating stories about ghosts – but I am offended by self-proclaimed experts that spout ‘fact’ at every opportunity about a subject that is questionable at best.
Like most folks, I enjoy reading/listening to these stories…and have some of my own.
Perhaps next time you should make sure your 2-cents are actually worth something.

To elaborate on the Ghosts being demons idea. It is beleved in Islam that everyone has a Jinn following them in their lives that tries to sway them to do evil deeds. I beleive it is this Jinn that acts as if they were the person after they die. Allah knows best!

You dont know much about ghosts obviously. Ghosts are more frequently seen where there are higher than average levels of electro magenetic energy. Ghosts also usually stick around when there are strong emotions involved with the death. I.e being killed by someone and having so much hatred for them during the death could manifest a ghost. or say someone is dying and they hold very deep emotions for a person or object, its possible for that person to manifest a ghost.

I find ghost in very strange places. Such as a Landry mat in Aurora. I’m looking for a place where it would be possible to catch something on film, or some physical evidence. If anyone know a good place do let me know. its_pinky_calling@yahoo.com I’m trying to find places close to Ft. Collins since transportation is not always avalible.

That is very scary. That they leave bruises on there victims. That is very violent.A ghost is actually a demon that was somehow involved in the persons life and learned how to act like them and therefore after the person dies the demon copies them and tries to make it look like the spirit of the person. When you die,you either go to Heaven or Hell. And live there for eternity.
