Sailor's Creek is extremely haunted! I use to participate in the civil war re-enactments there which required camping out there. I heard a musket being fired during the night while I was there. A couple with us went for a moonlight stroll near the creek & came running back in horror. When I ask my friend what was wrong she was so scared she could hardly speak. When she composed herself she told me that they were walking along talking & both of them saw a dark figure, kind of shadow like of what appeared to be a male. You could see through it and his eyes appeared to glow. Also, the re-enacters that are doctors actually sleep in the house there and they claim that they can hear the sound of bodies being dragged up the stairs, during the night. During the civil war battle the house was a make shift hospital and the bodies of the dead were stacked ontop one another upstairs until they could be later buried in a mass grave. But the sad part of all this is that you cant go poking around there at night anymore, because there is an alarm system that has been installed on the Hillsmans house. I have spent many nights in this house. Some weird things happen but not a whole lot. The bullet holes that are still in the wood siding don't help much. They give you an even more eeirie feeling.
