Mobile Home
This mobile home is said to be haunted by the ghost of a child named Buddy. Buddy was tragically killed after being run over with a tractor by his father. Buddy has been seen and heard by children who visit the residence. It is said that his likeness appears in the grain of a door located at the north end of the home. Buddy has also been reported to do mischievous deeds such as turning the television on and off-after unplugging it.

I was born & raised in downtown Ben Wheeler Texas, there wasn’t anything going on there that everybody didn’t know about. And I haven’t ever heard of such a made up story. I think if you can tell these stories, then you should go stay out there yourself. I would like to know exactly where this “trailer” is because the next time I come home I just might go by there to see if there really is a trailer sitting there. Bet cha won’t say. HUH!

This trailer is not in Ben Wheeler, only our mailing address.Knowing that people have lived there for years and not heard anything about this trailer is unstandable because this was our place and didn’t want it advertized. Now since then we have moved, sold the trailer and now living elsewhere. No the father did not do anything on purpose. Also, a magazine came to our place and took pictures which was some time ago.Believe or not,it was true.bY THE WAY,WE DID LIVE IN THE TRAILER FOR NINE YEARS.

I was an overnite guest at this trailer many times, and my son was young. Several times we would be sitting at the dinner table and the back door would open, something would catch our peripheral vision and my son and nephew would tell us “Buddy wants to eat with us”. WOW. Another time we slept in the back bedroom and there were photos in frames on the sill, the next morning they were turned down. Yes, the TV went on unplugged! A knot on the door moved it’s location and the lights went out when the Globe photographer was there. And he was scared. Another time lipstick appeared on a white bedspread and none of us wore red lipstick. I KNOW what I saw and heard and in my opinion, IT IS HAUNTED. “Buddy” never did anything evil, he just liked to hide things and play with my son and nephew. The home is just outside Edom, Texas before you get to Calendar Lake. It’s way off the road over a hill. IT IS THERE. Buddy just doesn’t want to leave what he knows.

Ginger is right…there once was a trailer house high on a hill to the right as you’re driving towards Calendar Lake. Who knows. Frankly I’m glad to be out of there-everyone in that place looks like someone off “Deliverance”.
