My friends and I, upon first hearing about the hauntings there, we took a video camera/audio recorder with us. We took pictures and slight audio from the supposedly haunted areas (such as Hop a Long and the Strawberry B***H plane) We got nothing in our pictures, however around the Strawberry B***H plane we got what sounds like someone saying "Here to and/or Come to me". Also u can faintly hear what sounds like Big Band music, but if you've ever been to the museum, then you know that they do not play any music there regularly during visiting hours. Kinda creepy.

I moved to Dayton a couple of years ago and I love the USAF Museum. When you go there, be sure to walk through the Holocaust Memorial. You will here sounds of people asking for help. You may also hear the sound of children crying and begging not to be taken from their parents.

...I went to the museum on a field trip once. Yeah,I was freaked out by the mannequins.. but that was just because they were weird. I really didn't see/feel anything out of the ordinary. It was just really boring.

Used to go there as a kid, back in the 70s. When no one was watching we'd crawl up in some of the planes before they were sealed up, like they are today. Particuarly the "Strawberry B-tch", the B-24 they have on display. We crawled all through that plane. Often times people would hear us and stop and stare, not knowing we were staring back through some crack.

We also crawled through the B-29, the B-36, and the B-52.

Wonder if this is the source of some of the "hauntings."

There is an exhibit that I have felt/sensed since I was about 15. I make it a point to go and say hi every now and again.

My mom went one time, looked up at it and said "you're Angel's friend, huh?" and felt this very defensive, very hostile "what of it?" I'd never mentioned the exact exhibit to my ex-husband when we were married, but knowing he feels/senses things too, asked him if he could find it. He walked right under it, stopped, looked up and asked "this yours?" A Native American neighbor of a guy I dated, spoke of it and said people will actually avoid it because they feel/sense that it's inhabited.

I went with my best friend a few years back and while standing across the hangar from it, saw what appeared to be a man sitting in the cockpit. I called out to Dale, asked him if he saw anything (didn't mention what). He did a half moon walk from side to side around it to see if it was a trick of light, walked back to me and all he said was "spooky." It wasn't a hologram, wasn't a mannequin, and wasn't a trick of light.

I'm not afraid of it/him but it definitely makes for some interesting visits.

I, myself have been to the museum, and I didn`t see one ghost or creepy, haunting thing there. When people are exspecting things to be haunted, they are going to start imaginaing things. For example, if someone has heard that the Air Force Museum is hunted with dummies, then what are they going to see a the corner of there eye...? Our consious can change our whole view of things, so watch out. The haunted houses and things people have put on here are for entertainment and they are not real, unless you call what your consious tells you and what you see at the corner of your eye real.

First of all, the plane mentioned was the Lady B Good-and it went down in the desert, not the mountains. Just wanted to clarify a bit of misinformation.
Secondly-I have gone to the museum many, many times and have had strange experiences nearly every time. Seeing people out of the corner of my eye, being followed through the museum (once something actually followed me out of the museum), things knocked out of my hands, etc. There are quite a few exhibits that are haunted-check out the Haunted Ohio books by Chris Woodyard to read more detail.
