The Boonies
Several miles away from most civilization lies a house known as The Boonies. It is said that an insane man and his rabbits lived in this house; the rabbits were all shaved. During the night, passers by would see a faint red glow coming from the house; they would also hear a high pitched wailing. The next day, rabbits with red skin would be seen running through the neighborhoods.

This is really a stupid ghost story. Who the hell would shave a rabbit? And who really has seen red running rabbits the next day unless they were smoking crack. Lame…

I live by the paxton exit and people have had ghost stories about that place for years. So much so that a lot curious people have explored the place. here is a list of what is up there:
1) a downhill that looks like an uphill. this is true there is an area in front of the cemetary that looks like a downhill slope but is a natural illusion and really is an up hill slope. that is why when a car is in nuetral it starts to roll up hill.
2) there is a chapter of the KKK up there two and on occasion you will see the ceremonies as they are happening. Crosses on fire lynchings and all that other stuff is said to be included.
3) A creepy cemetary but I have not seen the insane hold tank.
My experiences ther have not been fun. A friend of mine once thought it would be fun to drive through that area with the lights off around 2am. He drove wildly causing tire peelouts and donuts. im sure he woke up anyone in the area. While he was doing this a car came in the oppisite direction which is weird cause you could see the streets clearly and almost ran us off the road. After that he turned on the ligths and hauled *** out of there.
On another occasion I drove around the cemetary several times looking for a place to park so that we could walk through it and a weird man appeared out of nowhere. He was standing right next to the body drop off sign near the entrance of the cemetary. I felt my chest cave at this point. He gave us a cold stare and started walking towards the street as if to cut us off. I stepped on the gas and swore that if he made to the street before us I was going to run him over. I was not about to stop. I have not been back since.

This really is a wierd story but what I thought was hilarious was that many people leaving a responce can’t spell.

I just moved out of a haunted apt. When we first moved in, back in April of 2005, within the first 48 hrs, I kept finding our broom behind our bedroom dr. I kept putting the broom away in the kitchen pantry. After about 3 days of this going on, I got annoyed and yelled at my husband for putting the broom there. He swore up and down he was not puttin it there. This kept up for the first month we were there.I used to work swing shift and when I got home my husband would tell me that the doorbell would ring but there would be no one at the door.
Right away we started hearing movement from our closet, you could hear coat hangers moving, things shifting and foot steps around our bed.
My family has always been around some form of haunting as long as I can remember so, I was freaked out, but not TOO freaked out. Then then cold spots started happening on one side of the bed, on my side it would be totally warm (summer in Southern Cali)and the other side you would actually be cold and have goose bumps. The broom kept moving around from kitchen to bedroom, and it started to be really unnerving!
Then one night when I was sick, I was laying on the couch in the living room watching “The Mummy Returns” on VHS. When the movie was over, I took the tape out and laid it on a table by the side of the TV, about a 1/2 hr later I heard what I thought was a window cracking or glass breaking.
I got up, walked around and found nothing. In the morning when I got up, I walked by the TV to find the VHS Mummy Returns movie, totally ripped in half and the tape pulled out. In another instance, my husband was standing near the kitchen leaning on the nook talking to me when all of a sudden, the clock that was nailed to the wall flew off and landed about 2 inches from his feet. The thing about the clock though, is was nailed to wall, a bookshelf lay directly beneath it and a table was in front of that, it never even came near those two objects. We just kinda stared at each other and made jokes to about the ghost not liking him.
About 10 minutes later, my husband was standing on the kitchen side of the nook and the clock again jumped off the wall landing about 3 inches from his feet. On both instances, I checked the nail and it was firmly in place and the clock had no damage to it.
My room would get so noisy with the sound of footsteps and things moving, I would have to shut my bedroom door when I was in the living room. My husband actually saw a man standing in our closet, we had been laying in bed for maybe 5 minutes when my hubby looked up, and then shoved his head under the blankets, he just yelled “I don’t want to live here anymore!” I asked him waht happened and he said he saw a man in a brown overcoat, with brown eyes and black hair just staring at him from our closet. I didn’t get to see this.
In Nov. of 2006 it was getting so bad, I had put up a new fake Christmas tree I had gotten in hopes that I would feel better. My husband and I had been separated and I was alone. While putting up the tree, I had placed some ornaments on it, stepped back to see how the tree looked, and found there were like “lighted” orbs falling from my ceiling. I was freaked out and ducking cuz I had no idea what was going on except there were lights falling over my head. Then I walked up to my tree and fully saw a lighted object doing like a figure 8 movement over my tree, then just disappeared.
There had been nothing happening in my apt. since the day I put up my tree, so, I was scared to take my tree down! The tree stayed up until about a week before I moved out in mid September.
There was only one more ghostly instance before I moved out, I was making something and needed my glass measuring cup, which was sitting on the counter. I went to grab the cup but miscalculated, and it droppped and broke on the floor. I went to grab the broom from the closet, but it wasn’t there.. any guesses on where the broom was???
Of course! Behind my bedroom door….. We haved asked neighbors and the manager of the apt if they had any info on the apt, none of the neighbors really knew anything except the bldg had been there since 1955, and the manager just kept telling us that someone was playing a joke on us…. yeah right…
I just hope whoever it was can find peace and leave me alone!!

Here’s what’s going on in my little house. I just moved in here 2 months ago with my dog pete i’m 28 and my dog is 8. my neighbors are always looking at me and seems to want to ask me questions but never does… one morning, one old lady with gray hair asked me, Do you get to sleep ok at night? i replied… “yeah why’d you ask?” she said the man that lived here before me died of old age and he always tell her that he will never leave this house.. i didn’t really paid much attention to that. but that evening… i feel very strange and i couldn’t forget what she told me. so wen’t to that old lady’s place and asked her what’s the story about this man that said he wouldn’t leave the house… so the old lady got some wine and she started talking… after a glass of wine.. i felt really dizzy… the last thing i heard was “he is still there”…. …..
the next morning… after our breakfast in bed…
LoL.

Hey Guy… what are you the spelling cop?? getta life man….. Wooooooooo you found one incorrectly spelled word, get a life whiner. And Vivi, what are you doing here if you do not believe? You are probably too closed minded to have anything happen to you. This is the one of the only forums people have to share real experiences with people who are experiencing the same things. Yeah, there are some knuckle heads that just make up **** and post, but if you have any common sense, you should be able to decipher between real experiences and ****.
