I have to disagree with Caroline above we investigated the innand found it to be extremely haunted especially the attic and the tunnels where we photographed a figure of a man and in the attis a little girl who also talked to us and cried on our recorders as for the chinese people staying in the rooms there was no one staying there at the time of our investigationand as far as the owners they must have set the props up after because they wanted to see what we do first and havent heard from them since but all I know is what I saw and heard that night.

I live in Charlestown and I know for a fact that this place is not haunted. The owners, some whacks from California have set up props to get the attention. And i also know that there are chinese people that live in some of the rooms(they are the owners of the chinese restaurant located at the inn)that watch guests through holes in the walls. You are absolutely right that is creepy.

Myself and my husband decided to stay at the Stanton Inn after reading the history (I am partial because i am a history teacher for the 8th grade). Although we are still not sure what to make of our experience we left with an open mind. My husband had several dreams of a little girl with blonde hair and a purple dress. The first 3 all the same with her walking around the bed to his side putting her finger to her lips and saying SHHHHHH. The next with her running around the room so fast he could not keep his eyes on her. Me on the other hand kept getting feet tickled all night. I guess it would not be so bad if we were staying in the inn but we were in the newer building known as the suites. Would we stay again? Without a doubt.

The Hotel that are haunted can be cleared of spirits by the owners. They can ruin business and cause sicknes.
