Real Haunted House

The Julie Ideson Building

Houston, Texas

n this former public library which is adjacent to the new one, Mr. Cramer used to roam the premises during his days as a janitor in the early 1900s. He would spend his leisure time strolling about the halls playing melodies on his violin, and playing with his dog. In 1936, he died alone in his room, which lies in the basement. Employees report that eerie strands of violin music are heard throughout the halls, usually on dreary, cloudy days. Mr. Cramer has also been spotted in one of his favorite haunts during his mortal life–the history room.

Has anyone heard of the ale house over on W. Alabama? Heard a couple of stories about it being haunted from parents and other relatives.

ha ha at jenny and jacky…that was funny…(i know its only one person). but where is this place at? never heard of it.

I went to Lanier Middle school and part of the 3rd floor was cut off as well. They said that it got cut off because a lab used to be there and it blew up..but i never knew whether to believe that or not. Not that it was haunted or anything but yeah.

When I was a kid my sister and I would go to the new library and always do a walk thru the old library, Everytime we went in there, it was creepy. It was always quite and it didnt seem like you were alone. My day while my sister was in the Restroom there, i decided to take a stroll up stairs. As I was walking up, Someone pushed me up the stairs. I turned around thinking it was my sister but no one was there. That was the last time we went to the library.

I live in Katy, TX and I haven’t even heard of this place. I love to experience haunted places. My friends and I used to visit abandoned houses that were haunted and this one house actually WAS haunted. we never really saw anything but a couple of shadows but we felt it more than anything. I will never set foot in that house again though. The last time I went with my friends to that house, my air seemed like it was cut off and there was a pressure around my throat. We ran outside and then I started coughing violently. It wasn’t until we got to the car, away from the house, that I was able to breathe again. It was a scary and horrible experience.
