The Julie Ideson Building
n this former public library which is adjacent to the new one, Mr. Cramer used to roam the premises during his days as a janitor in the early 1900s. He would spend his leisure time strolling about the halls playing melodies on his violin, and playing with his dog. In 1936, he died alone in his room, which lies in the basement. Employees report that eerie strands of violin music are heard throughout the halls, usually on dreary, cloudy days. Mr. Cramer has also been spotted in one of his favorite haunts during his mortal life–the history room.

When I was in 1st Grade at L.T. Cunningham Elementary in Bellaire back in 1996, my friends dared me to walk behind the board of the classroom (the classroom was in one of those wooden old temporary buildings not part of the permanent one) which was like some sort of closet where we would hang up our backpacks; and I remember going with my best friend, he was walking in front of me and all of a sudden I see a woman with long straight hair standing beside him so we both run out and we are covered in dust and lint. I never forget that experience.
