Real Haunted House

The Lady of the Lake (a.k.a. The White Rock Lady)

Dallas, Texas

Soon after this lake was built in the 1920s, a girl was on her way home when she decided to cross the spillway to save time. Halfway across, she slipped and consequently drowned. Nowadays, it is said that she hitchhikes in the area. After riding in the car for a while, she vanishes leaving a wet spot.

This paranormal only happens during glummie and rainy nights, I know this for a fact because one night when I was out with my girl we went to WRL and during the time I was getting a favor from my girl she appeared in the back seat and sat there quietly for about 5 second and disappeared leave a wet area in my car.

I live in Dallas. I frequently pass that lake, which is quite lovely… until nightfall.

I heard a different story behind this subject. It’s said that a woman was there with one or two of her children. They all supposedly drowned (don’t know how)and she walks along the side of the water and the road and cries for her children and she will ask people where her children are. She is called (in spanish) “La Llorona” which means the crier.

Regarding the Lady of the Lake, There several versions which also state that in some cases when you reach her destination she takes you with her, your disappear as well, leaving a puddle of water in both seats, Another version states that sometimes on a clear night you can see standing above the water there and singing. I fish at that lake and I can tell you the other night, 9-5-08 my girlfriend and I were driving home on Lawther Road and I got an eerie feeling while driving around that lake. Not to say something is actually haunting that lake, but i can tell you that if you are looking for ghosts you rarely find them, you need to be calm, relaxed, and except anything you see as a possible sighting.

i actually think an incident happend a while back while i was fishing at white rock. it might of been a prank but i dout it bc it happend more than once. we were fishing and when it became about 2am, or somewhere around, when we heard a scream for bloody murder! we stayed a little bit longer just to make sure and about 20 mins later, maybe less, we heard it again and ran to the truck n took off. i havent stayed there late ever since. but i am thinking about doing it again just to make sure it wasnt fake.

we stayed in this house for five years on 2140 gaylord dallas,tx i moved away from it when i was 8 im 22 years old now and ill never and have never forgot the adress i whitnessed or saw terrifying things in this house. the most terrible exsperince was one night i was sleeping and fell out of the bed got up to get back in the bed my parents bed room was straight across from mine and when i looked i saw a figure moving towards me ai screamed my parents came . i told them what i saw at that moment my mother had a dizzy spell, well thats what she called it and fainted the my dad was trying to wake her up she opened her eyes and said in a strange voice get off of me. so i slept in the bed with them that night and they were sleep i took my head of from under the covers and as god as my whitness i saw dead pepole walking around out lines in this weird gloowing stuff. and then on another night i woke up and saw my mother standing over me she was dressed in her scrubs just wathching over me as i slept wich to me was werid so i called out moma moma! and from the other room my mother yelled out what! it looked toward the direction my mothers voice came from and looked back at me and dissaperd in a star that left a ringing noise i will never forget. but the face was shadowed out but in the form of my mother so i think it was a spirit or an angel becouse it was watching over me as i slept. the adress was 2140 gaylord dallas,tx 75217 plesant grove any body live or knows some one how has lived in this 3 bed room house how has exsperienced something like this.

Despite what anyone says, this is very true. My father and his friends had an experience with her in the 1960’s and my father is not one to believe in spirits at all, yet he had an amazingly scary story to tell. I go to the lake about every week and I’ve had my fair share of creepy encounters including a dark figure floating in the water. I would not advise anyone to seek her out, she is fairly dangerous. When people speed around the lake, she will be in your back windshield warning you and possibly run you off the road…it has happened before and could very likely happen again. Please do not mess with what you do not know..it can be fatal.
