Yikes. This is kind of freaky. But the story lacks detail.

I have never seen a true ghost but do beleive in ghost Not only because I am a christan but because I think when people die they are ethier in limbo plus I think in giving events in life bad things happen which make ghost even more real because of what happen. The thing for me is knowing fear maybe because it is felt in most cases but never seen Spirts I think can be felt but not seen. Ghost to most of us are ethier the unknown or the unepected to us that’s what makes it scary to we live in a world where on some sort human level we can face good and evil because it can be seen no matter what we are faced with but the thing is as human beings it’s hard for us as people to face or appect anything that is unknown yes ghost the only thing is I also think spirts can be angry of course giving the cards they were delt with. rather it was some part of history or tragic no matter what sprits have more of a reason to be mad if you were stuck between heaven and hell wouldn’t you be a little upset.

This house no longer stands… there was orginally two houses!! one burnt down 30 or so years ago and thats were that story supposly happened but no one has ever witnessed it.. the other got burnt down last year by sum stupid punks!! i know the storys of this house i have pictures… and been there many times… our farm is right next to it…..

I really don’t know what to say about this i’m speechless, what I do know is that the people who are submitting these stories need to be descriptive about these stories.

Freaky things happen in my house but it’s not meant to be haunted…i get scared on my own. i’m 13, i have a few ghost stories but some people say they aren’t true. i have a real ghost on my phone but i don’t no how to get it on the internet.
Anyway, this story does not sound true it sounds made up, but that’s what i think, it could be true for all I no…(it’s lacks proper detail) I mean, how does anyone know it’s true unless somebody has been there…I say it remains a mystery coz the house is no longer there…

OMG shut up i live near tarboro too. sucks ive never seen this place but what ever maybe soon. i guess but i do believe in ghosts and ive seen some and they are pretty scary to me and i freak when i see one. i cant hardly sleep. i think i have a ghost in my house b/c one night i was laying on my bed and then the bed slumped down and i just thought it was my cat but when i went to feel for the cat it wont there. so i got up and turn on the light and nothing was there but you could see the print on the bed. i was freaking out. so i couldnt sleep that night. later that night it felt like someone was rubbing my leg and i jumped up and once again, nothing. sometimes ill be sitting in my living room and my bedroom door will slowly open and i had it all the way closed. this mess is creepy. thank god im moving some time soon. well later ppl. Man, when I read the Mayo House I was all excited because I thought it was about mayonaise! GEEZ! Talk about false advertisment! Anyways, I love Mayo…I enjoy running it on my nips and letting it dry so it crusts off. I really enjoy rubbing it all over my body and once, this was the best bath in the whole world, I saved up and I bought, like, 100 bottles of mayonaise and I filled my tub with it. It felt sooo good, I highly reccoment it, plus it makes your skin so soft. It was a b!tch to clean up but I managed and it was so worth it.

I’m really interested in the Mayo House legend. I am also doing a project about it in school. I have looked all over and this is the first time I have heard that there is/was a definate house where the murders happened. I live near Tarboro and know of many Mayo houses (they are a very big family and own a lot of land) so I could never narrow it down. If anyone has any more information or pictures of the house, please post it here.

The Mayo house that was allegedly haunted was burned down in an arson spree in the summer of 2004- I have pictures of the charred chimneys. If I can figure out how to post them I will… or I can be contacted at GingerSnaps1111@aol.com

I think that will be very scary to see…I grew up in a haunted house and I still don’t think that I can handle that.

Why didn’t the ghost family keep the house from being burned down. Not only are they homeless ghost now, but they don’t have a job. What do jobless ghost do for a living? How will they pay their ghost bills, did they have ghost house insurance?
Seriously, this story lacks consistency. Is it documented anywhere that Mr. Mayo killed his family? The ghost in this story are too interactive with people to be considered real. Who would go into a house after being invited in by Mr. and Mrs. Freaky Ghost family? Why is the family so nice to “visitors” when the last thing they all did together was massacre everybody?

Anyone ever been in the basement? It’s the scariest thing ever, I was seriously freaked out. Go down there and there won’t be any doubts in your mind that this place is haunted.

I have been to this house also. The place is very eerie, but beautiful inside. There are quite a few Mayo house’s in Bethel also. A friend of mine couison lives in one of them and it is haunted also. I know Kelsi and like she said, 2 of the Mayo House’s were burnt down by teenage kids to my knowledge. It’s a shame they were burnt down. At one of the Mayo’s, the first time me & a friend related to Kelsi went to the house, and as I about to enter the doorway, a spirit went through me. Both places I have experienced quit a bit, but we never heard a dog, but there were many spirits there. I live in a house that is close to 100 yrs. old & as soon as I moved in here, stuff started to happen that are unexlainable. So folks they are out there and all around. Just have an open mind and see what happens.

I have been to that house. It had a very eerie feeling to it, and it has been the only place I’ve been that gave me that feeling. It was burned down, both of the Mayo Houses near Bethel. Since it was burned down, I dont get that eerie feeling anymore. I guess they moved on.

I been here a few times. One time I was up in that mo fo gettin some good azz car wash from one of my girlz, and right when she was raising up off me to pop a fine azz female ghost came up out of no where and jumped between us and I sprayed that ***** down yo but it was weird cuz like some of my **** was hitting her and running down here hot lil ghost mouth and the rest of it was like going through her hittin my gurls chest. But my gurl was saying my stuff was cold as hell, it usually real hot! So allz I can think is that what went through the ghost must have been cooled by her fine lil pale azz. So dats whatz up!
