Real Haunted House

The Pink House

Lyndon, New York

During the Lyndonville murders, the family of five that resided in this house were killed. The house has been left untouched ever since, and it is said that anyone who dares to venture into the basement will become locked inside after the doors close by themselves. The only means of escape is to open the door from the outside.

I know this story to be true. I lived near Lyndon, NY for many years, in fact my Grandfather was born and raised there during that time. There is a book you can read called the Lyndon Murders. The murders are still unsolved to this day.

I dont know if any one has answered your questions yet about the reasoning of its name the pink house but I know the reason why it is called the pink house is because the house is actully painted pink with white trim I do not know why it is painted pink but that is why it is known as the pink house.

There is a Linden, NY where the Linden Murders took place as Bubba stated and is correct in his posting. Now there also is a Lydonville, NY not overly to far from there too. This sounds too much like an Urban Legend grown too big or a simple case of wrong location as I don’t know too much about Lydonville’s History.

Funny…I lived in Linden for several years, and never heard of the Pink House. I know the house we used to live in had its unexplainable moments, doors slamming on their own, etc., but never heard of a Pink house. There used to be places we just didn’t go because they didn’t feel right.
