I once heard a ghost story, years ago, about this man who had been butchered by train-jumping hobos, and returned from the grave for revenge. Supposedly, just reading this story will set you up for a visit, as follows: wherever he is right now, he can sense you thinking of him, and he will begin to move in your direction, wherever that might be. If and when you forget him, he will lose the trail, and go back to roaming endlessly. However, i don’t remember what happens if he finds you…and i realize it’s an urban legend as much as any other…but does anyone know the name of this story or where it came from?

i wish i could find some real ghosts its so odd because here in iowa there is a haunted cemetary that there is a “devils chair” that on the first full moon of the month moves to the front of the cemetary at midnight and where it was the day before it is moved somewhere else. at night you can see an orange orb above the chair. by the way the chair is cemented to the ground.

OK, Has anyone considered the possibility that this might have happened a long, long time ago, and the boys didn’t die on the tracks, they witnessed her death and were traumatized by that so they were put into a mental institution. I’m guessing their spirits started visiting the site after they died. The story doesn’t give us enough information as to when this happened and the full details of what happened. And it’s safe to assume that if it did happen within the last few decades everyone would have surely heard of it, and of course women nowdays would think enough to call 911 and have a huge search done, etc. But if this happened like in the 1800s that would explain why many people haven’t ever heard of it, and it could explain why she didn’t call the police. I guess I feel that we need to know more about the story before assuming that it isn’t real. (And if it’s not real, it does make for good entertainment for the thrill seekers and those who just like a good ghost story.)
