Beware also of the hucksters that want your money in exchange for a miracle! What a crock! Beware! Those people do NOT serve Jesus Christ! Those kind were around back in Jesus' day and he drove them out of the temple with a whip!

This one sounds like an urban legend. There are paranormal research societies in Kenosha, Wausau, and I believe Delavan, WI. Perhaps those of you who have been to this location, and are convinced that something is really happening there, should contact one of these research groups to have it confirmed. The spirit world is most definitely real, more so than the physical world that will one day pass away. It has been my experience that people that have no belief in God, that have delved or at least dabbled in the occult, or have used drugs - particularly hallucinogenics- are more susceptible to seeing or encountering the spirit world. By no means are these occurrences "all in their heads". They are simply more open to the spirit world, but perhaps dangerously so. Be cautious pursuing these things. At the risk of sounding preachy, the Bible says that Satan comes as an angel of light. He is the father of lies. We are commanded to test the spirits to see if they are of God. The only way you can do that is by the leading of the Holy Spirit. You can only have the Holy Spirit guide your life by genuine faith in the life, death, and resurrection of Jesus Christ - repenting of your sin and unbelief, and accepting Him as your Lord and Savior. To seek the paranormal, or try to fight against it on your own, is a recipe for spiritual disaster. To comment on another topic: people that attempt or succeed to take their own life are in deep psychological distress. They are truly not in their right mind and can not be held accountable for their actions. The person who said all such persons deserve hell has never personally been clinically depressed. You are ignorant at best and lack compassion.

Ok, I don't usually share this because, well, who would believe me? I was in the process of moving into an over 100 year old home in Rosholt, with my husband and kids. We were cleaning and renovating before we moved in and one day I was meeting my husband at the house and I walked into the livingroom with a basket of stuff and I seen through the doorway into the diningroom, my husband, or so I thought, walking into the laundry room that was off the diningroom. I said something to him about it being hot in there and don't any of the windows open? And he didn't answere me, so I put my basket down and walked through the diningroom and into the laundry room with the intent of saying something to the fact that he could atleast answere me...and he wasn't there. All of a sudden I heard him hammering upstairs. The only way upstairs was through the livingroom, where I had come from. The laundry room had no exit. The man I seen was dressed in work clothes and a work hat, which my husband wore daily. It was daylight and I had looked right at this man and talked to him.
I think he followed me from our prior home, because I had seen this person before and mistook him for my husband on that occasion. But he was harmless and never caused any problems.

I lived in a house in Hebron, WI. It was built in the 1800's. The first week I lived there my couch was pushed across the room into a closet. Plus I was laying in bed one afternoon and a man's voice came and said my name right in my ear. Yes I was freaked out, you better believe it. I would have my grand daughter there and she would talk to a little girl named Sarah, and another little boy who came into my house would talk to Adam. They kids can talk to ghost, so u decided!!!! I BELIEVE IN IT!!!!!!

I grew up in this nice little town and this is the first I have heard about this haunted place. I'm surprised this site did not list 'Boyscout Lane' or 'Calvin's Blood.' The only things I find scary are the loud redneck trucks and the amazingly cheap beer prices at the bars downtown.

if you want to go to a real haunted house, go to Summer Winds in norther WI, or to the cream colored brick house in Cold Springs WI, a village of about 12 houses, a bar, and a church, the brick house is haunted, I lived there with my parents, grandparents, brothers and sister. Take my word for it.

Did anyone happen to think that the mother wasn't mentally sound? What I would like to know is what time period this occurred in. It would explain why the mother wasn't diagnosed if she had a mental illness and why she wouildn't go to the police because they may not have been nearby.
