The Rosino’s House

07.23.2005 | 9:36 pm | Long Island, New York, United States

This house is said to be haunted by two different ghosts. One man appears to be the present owners father. He has allegedly been seen holding his great-granddaughter in an upstairs window. A grayish-smoke like figure has also been reported to pass through people in the home’s kitchen. As the basement was being renovated, an unexplained swastika was found built into the linoleum floor. There were also large amounts of very old ammunition located in the ceiling.

  5. ok so im the great grand daughter that the story mentions. theres nothing much that goes on here now. and yes there were swastikas, guns, and money found in a secret compartment in the upstairs floor. the stories are true but nobody in my family can figure out how who ever put my house on this sight knew about that incident of my great grandpa. my crib room at the time was his room before he died. i saw him once when i was little but i dont think hes around anymore.

  10. “what are swastika’s? weapons??” Are you kidding me?? A swastika is a hate symbol associated with the Nazi’s. You might want to brush up on some basic history.

  11. Wait a minute, Marissa! How can your great-grangfather hold you if he’s dead? The story says that “he has allegedly been seen holding his great-granddaughter in an upstairs window”. Maybe they meant that he was holding a picture of his great-granddaughter. I don’t know! I’m confused!

  20. First off, a good ghost story is a good ghost story whether it’s true or not. Trying to debunk a ghost story is what makes this interesting. Going to actual places that might be haunted is a thrill for some so why knock it? What if you do see something, now you know have proof for yourself?
If you don’t see anything then you try to go to the next place. Urban legends or local folklore have gone on for ages, why stop now?
As for the spelling mistakes, though I would like to read legible posts, is not like we are going for the bar at Harvard or Yale, you shouldn’t have to have a PHD to post on here.
With that being said I love the site.
