We believe the St. James Hotel has 7 spirits - Mary Lambert, her son Johnnie, TJ Wright (cowboy), 2 little girls, the Imp and Melissa. The Santa Fe Trail is outside the front door. Paranormal investigators say it is a moving psychic stream which explains unseen but heard "parties in the bar" or "poker games". If you would like to learn more about the Express St. James Hotel in Cimarron NM please look at the following:

Lots of photos and videos coming in about the paranormal activities here.

I lived in the area where the St. James Hotel is. I have eaten at the resteraunt, drank at the bar and walked around the downstairs of the hotel. I have used the ladies restroom in the downstairs area of the old part of the hotel. When I was in there I felt like I was being watched and I also had a very errie experience in there. As I washed my hands the water cut off, my 1st thought was that the water pressure was bad because of it being an old building and an old town. I turned the water back on and as I went to rinse my hands off I visibly saw the knob on the faucet turn, so it wasn't the water pressure at all. Needless to say I got out of the bathroom rather quickly. As I left the bathroom I walked down the hall and caught a whiff of a flower/lavender scent and I was the only one in the hall. I would say this place is haunted but i think my experience was that of the owners wife just checking up on the place.

That would be fun to be able to stay in a haunted hotel. I would laugh if I got to see Little Imp be naughty and I would be a first to feel like I'm being watched by Mary To see her shadow would be even cooler
