Real Haunted House

Thearosa’s Bridge

Wichita, Kansas

When this area was first being settled, a woman named Thearosa lived near this bridge along with her children. Though the exact details are unclear, Thearosa eventually killed her children and then herself. Today, she haunts the bridge. The weather on the bridge is never the same as anywhere else in town. The bridge has also been set on fire several times; investigations reveal nothing.

I was there in the 70’s when the original bridge was there. I spent enough evenings out there to believe in this haunting. I have seen bushes move with no one there, cars refusing to start, handprints, unexplained claw marks on my friends back. I also went to the original site of her house again in the 70’s.
Sorry I’m a believer

my husband and i; and, 3 others went last night.we got there right at nighttime. we walked acrossed the first concrete, grafetti, bridge on 109th st.and s meridian. nothing happened, until we got on the north side of the bride. my friend called out “thearosa”,she did this 3 times, i was infront of her and i heard a baby cry. for just a second. thinking that the friend made that crying sound, i hurriedly turned around ready to bust her. about that time the wind started to blow, making the air quite cold. the sound of the water, got louder, and something touched my husband’s hand..i was the only one who heard the baby…

this place is freaky!! when we all got back in the car we could all feel someone in with us. when you look over the bridge, into the water, you can see weird objects in the water. my friend kept saying “I’ve got you’re baby! come get your baby!” he tripped and almost fell into the water. GO TO THE BRIDGE IT’S A BLAST!!!!

Who cares what the real story is. No one knows the REAL story. I have been there once, nothing happened. All I saw was the work of retard teens, stoners and drunks, making a mess of a very nice place. What kind of idiots go to a bridge, with spray paint? I am not going to say that the place isn’t haunted, I am going to say that nothing happened while I was there. Another thing. Where do/did some of you people go to school? Do they not teach proper spelling and grammer anymore? My 6 year old can spell better than alot of you. Anyway, the bridge is worth a try, I guess, but professional investigators have already deemed the bridge to be nothing more than legend.

When I was about 10 we went to the bridge did the saying and it is true, the car was running and then just shut off, there were 5 of us girls we did not want to get out. After several attempts to start the car we finally decided to get out and to try to push it. At the end of the bridge you could see a faint white outline of a woman we were so scarred we all jumped back into the car. After sitting for about an hour the car finally started it would not move forward only backwards off the bridge. We never went back. I do not believe in provoking any kind of activity such as that.

1/24/2010 on january 17th I took my niece and 12 of her 12 yr old friends out to the bridge. The girls said Theorosa we have your baby 5 times and heard nothing. But they were doing alot of senseless screaming and moving around. But my friend and I took pics. We got ALOT OF ORBS on the south side of the bridge but nothing on the North side.
Then tonight I decided to take my 15 yr old and 2 friends thinking I was just going to scare the **** out of them. I first drove them all the way down the road to show them this really cool house then drove back to the bridge parked my van facing East on the road not the bridge itself. left it running with the lights on facing the bridge. we walked up to the bridge was there mabe 2 min and heard crunching sounds in the tall grass on the North side of the bridge. I then said Theorosa we have your baby 5 times right at the end of the 5th time my van lights went off of coarse we hauled **** out of there and I had to start the van when I left it running with the lights on. This is a protected place please be careful and god bless
