Real Haunted Houses

Real Haunted House

Track

Washington, New Jersey

Many years ago, an overweight slightly retarded child named Tommy D ran the mile in 14 minutes and 41 seconds — the worst time in school history. After being teased by his peers, the boy referred to as Tommy Dummy was determined to run the mile faster. One weekend, Tommy went to the field and ran the mile alone in under ten minutes. This is known only because he corpse was found at the finish line the following Monday grasping his stopwatch. Since then, each time students run the mile, they feel cold spots around the field, especially where the body was found. On foggy mornings, others report seeing an apparition jogging around the field. It is further alleged that watches cease to work just as anyone is nearing the finish line — thus no one can ever get an accurate time. Even more uncanny, the second hand is always said to stop on 14 or 41 seconds past the minute.

Okay listen this story is a myth that was stolen from another story. Buckeye!!!! The story goes that a young boy was retarted and was joined in football, and supposly the boys neck was broken by one of his bullies during football practice. He died at the scene and was never heard of again. Until a couple of years or so one of the boys who had made fun of him in the past saw him. He saw red eyes in the woods behind the field. Also something that some guys were drinking one night when they said go and challenge buckeye. The one boy said im not afraid and ran to the end of the feild and and went to the edge towards the forest and said i challenge you buckeye!!!! He was never seen again after that, well until the found him dead at the edge of the feild. Anyway i think it is just a big crock of **** and i say that at age 13!!!! Anyway it based in Delanco, NJ and everywhere in the old state. It is a myth sink that into your brains and the story you told is a myth as well!!!! I know you heard that story either in Weird NJ magazine or from your friends, but it is just like playing wisper down the lane, the story is changed everytime. Any comments about my comment then write what you think!!!!……..

I’ve read many stories about this particular haunting. I believe it’s true. Besides, if the boy died or even got hurt, somebody will have to help him. And, if he died of a broken neck, the haunting would have been of probably a zombie with a broken neck or something. I don’t know about you guys, but that’s my comment.

once again i’m going to say that i dont believe in ghosts. idk i just like being scared even though i no that this whole story is NOT true. if you believe in God as much as i do, the only ghost that you should believe in is the Holy Ghost. I mean i believe that there could have been a retarded boy who died running the track but this whole stopwatch thing and being “haunted” is fake. People just add those details to make it more interesting. i no all this and i’m only 13!

Hello,
I have not been to the “track” but, believe the story.
I live in a haunted apartment and have experience many strange happenings. Apports, Exports, flies coming from nowhere, spirits expressing anger when I cast them out in the name of Jesus Christ or read the bible out loud.I was a broadcaster on WTMR 800 am in Camden, New Jersey. Had my own show for a year. I captured the towlet flushing buy it self and running for a least 5 min. I use deliverance to get rid of the spirits. I have them under control , just needs a little more work. It takes time to expel spirits.
I am working on a New web site called http://www.HauntedHouseBuster.com which will be ready by September 07.

Where in Washington is the track?? I went to High school there and never heard of this story? There is only 1 Washington N.J. in Warren County.
I grew up in Oxford, the town next to Washington, and there are 2 places I know of that have spirits in them….the old Shippen Manor House for one. I used to play there with my friend when I was young, and we would see things all of the time…even as children we knew what was strange, and what was real.
There is alot of History in this town, going back to the Revolutionary war. Check it out!

I was reading all the comments on what people think is real or fake. I just wanted to say I do believe in ghost. If you want to experience a real haunting you should come to Elizabeth NJ. It’s this house that I use to live in over by 1 & 9 and all type of strange went on in that house. When I first went to see the house before I decided to rent it; I had a walk through the house. You know checking the usual things out before renting. In the living room there was a small closet. When I open this small closet there was this big cross hanging in there. I took one look at it and I didn’t think much of it. I thought maybe the person use to live here was very spiritual. I then close the closet and didn’t think about it again. I and my children then move in. Things were great the very first year. Then that 2nd year we started to experience strange things happening. Like at a certain time at night the door bell would ring and when you go to answer it no one is in sight.

Other things were happening as well. Like foot steps coming from a place that you know is lock up. Like my attic, there were no keys to get up there. The landlord had them. He said no one was to go up in the attic because someone could get hurt. Well anyways you could be in the house and you would hear sounds like some one was running up in the attic every morning around 12. My husband had brought this dog for me on my birthday, he use to always laid at the foot of my beg. We were in the house all alone one night because all my children had spent the night out. I didn’t hear anything, but my dog jump off the bed and his ears stood up like he had seen something. Then he ran out the room and started barking like crazy. I then pick up the bat that I kept by my bed because I thought that someone may have broken in. when I went to the hall way I saw the dog just a barking like he was trying to keep something or some one from coming up the stairs.

When I went a little closer to grab my dog I felt this cold chill. I didn’t know what to do so I took my dog and I ran out on the porch and I call my friend over so that we could check out the house. When he came over we went through the house to make sure no one was there. I look in all the closets and the rooms but when I open the little closet in the living room I notice that the cross was no longer hanging in there. Then and only then I started to think the cross was there to keep what ever was in that house out. I had to wait until my children came home to ask them what happen to the cross. My daughter said that she took it down and toss it in the back yard because it was creepy. I told her to go and get it because when she took it down she made a way for what ever was in that house to come in. The cross did no good things got worst, the children begin to see images as well as hearing things in the wee hours of the night. This is a true story, no lie the house is on 1011 William Street in Elizabeth NJ. The people that live there after me reported strange thing that was happening in that house also.

You should learn to spell instead of running the track.

Hey folks, just wanted to comment to everyone on this site. Whether you believe or you don’t it is clearly a matter of opinion or faith if you will. There is no reason to get angry. If you like to believe these stories are fun and interesting. If you don’t like to believe than you don’t, but don’t bash people that like this stuff. Lastly, I just want to say that whether you believe in each story or haunting or not, don’t be so close minded to the fact that things exist in this world you can not explain or prove or disprove. Just enjoy your own perceptive realty and let people enjoy theirs. Peace and love to all.
