I lived in Tulsa for 20 years… there are several stories and several things I myself have checked into and found to be true. The Caines Ballroom is true. Only thing about that is… it never happends during shows. Its always after hours. I also know that there is a house on Gilcrease Drive that has been up for sale for many many years. The story says a controling husband kept his family practially hostage in the house and than one day just went crazy and killed them all. At night u can see him in the yard with a gun and sometimes also see the children in the windows. I have been in this house and the basement is like a jail cell. Cold, damp and has huge metal doors. Also in Catoosa on Hwy 66 near the cemetary sometimes u can see a young boy on a bike waving at passerbys and sometimes walking into the road. Story is that he was hit by a car. Also there is an old theatre on the corner of 15th street and Deleware. and so on and so on.

I have always wanted to experience a real haunted house. I have been researching ghosts and the unexplained mysteries of Oklahoma. Probably because i live there. I live in a very small town in oklahoma, and i have always wondered if there is a haunted house or some kind of mysterious place near my home town.

hey i no a haunted house gives you chills at night makes a weird noise in the hallway only at night though a little girl used to live in it a few pictures are on somewhere and we have ones that have a child in the background.

There’s a ghost under my bed that used to give me chills at night and I woke up, there was ectoplasm all over my bed and pants. I need an exorcist!!!

i no this place in guthrie. some house i think on main st. no real sure. it had an ou red flag out front. the house looks nice but i was told that noone stays in the house cuz of the freaky things that happen. like lights turning on and off and bad things. my cuzin said that the bank has bought it along with so many other people and they cant sell it cuz of the reputation. i dont no for sure wut it is but is sounds crazy.

Thats CRAZY ME and my best friend are up alone and its almost midnight and we have read so many of these storys we are too scared to even go to the bathroom lol!!!!!

In response to Erin about Cain’s ballroom. Cain’s Ballroom is widely known to be haunted. There have been numerous studies by paranormal groups and testimonies by employees. It has even been in the media. For someone that has never been there and is only taking the word of a friend you seem very sure of yourself. Maybe if you were to research it instead of asking your girlfriend it will get you further.

If you want to see a movie and if your lucky have a ghostly spirit sit next to you, come to The Phoenix Theatre in Antlers, Oklahoma. There is alot of activity there. It is not a guaranteed siting or feeling but “they” are there. If you don’t experience something ghostly, well you saw a good movie anyway!

I was born in Tulsa as was my mom. Her mom was born in Dawson, OK which is now part of Tulsa & considered an OK ghost town.

I can’t go into history here…but I do here: http://theleforces.com & other places that site links to. OK was/always will be one of the harder states to live in. As such…we’re crawling w/ activity. Even in Tulsa…one of the big cities.

My first experience here was in a 3 story house @ 3rd & Phoenix. I met someone/married him then went to see where he lived/meet his roomies. He didn’t really say much about either…the house or the roomies. The first time I saw it I wanted to run. It flat gave me the creeps…as did the roomies.

I went in & got a very quick glance @ the various rooms in this monster. Then I had a dream about that house…I saw men seemed like in uniform fighting in the backyard…people falling down dead. It’s amazing I should remember details of the house in my dream considering I barely saw it.

I told my hubby about the dream. I told him his house/friends (negative ppl) freaked me out & I didn’t want to move in there w/ them. And together we told them we were keeping own place & letting that house go.

Then they told me some stories. Supposedly at least 2 people died there or lived there when they died @ the hospital. They told me a few crazy things/I don’t know what 2 believe. I just know it/them gave me the creeps.

And something followed us home from that house. One night my hubby & I were going 2 bed & saw what looked like a shadow standing there looking @ us. We both saw it…he told it to leave…it disappeared. Right after that our cat disappeared several months & didn’t reappear ’til the day we moved out. I swear I thought she was dead. She came back the day we were moving like she knew we were off.

Next thing you know I’ve got a list of health problems, I’m divorced, I’m wrongfully terminated which means I lost my health insurance, & I can’t get better.

I worked in some apts near 129th & Garnett…not far from mall…where kids died in closet due 2 fire. I had to clean apartment after it was remodeled as they’d rented it. That building still smelled of smoke. I’m sure even floor boards were new but it was like vacuuming over someone’s grave…probably how the mowers feel…creepy.

I lived in apts near 41st/129th where I was laying in bed/trying 2 sleep & could feel somebody choking me. I tried to push “it” off me only 2 realize no one there. People around me were going nuts & killing so’s/killing themselves. Lady upstairs said she was laying on couch/watching TV half asleep & felt something push the hair out of her eyes.

My mom died of lung cancer…took her a month. I went a lil nuts…left my kid…was a lil bad. I went to bed one night & had a dream involving my mom & she looked pissed. I woke up screaming/bawling…ever try that? I packed all my things in my trunk in the dark & was pulling off for another state/back 2 my kid by sun light.

Quite frankly my life’s been @ least this crazy if not crazier. Well…I suffer from @ least post traumatic stress syndrome & am disabled now. I swear my ex nor I were considered drug addicts or insane storytellers or any such thing before our marriage/divorce. But I think we’re both considered every name in the book now.

Was it this house/these ppl/the negativity? Was it using a Ouiji (sp?) board & not closing it down? Was it the fact I’ve always been interested in spirits/the hereafter? Were we cursed by a human…dead or alive…or the one(s) who made us? It’s not just me w/ “bad luck from hell”…it’s my whole family…both sides.

I dunno…but think about this…especially U teens. If one’s not cursed/lucky/happy/positive therefore dies @ peace…they’re gonna move on. The only spirits you could connect w/ are those stuck in between. And we shouldn’t be hunting for/giving energy to those.

The positive spirits…the ones who don’t know they’re dead or have unfinished biz or want 2 help living family…they know who can feel/see/help them. They will find those ppl. They don’t have to be hunted. The rest you wouldn’t want to meet/know as living ppl much less dead ones.

I grew up there and this is a true story… My aunt stayed there in that room with me and that is hat we experienced.

The real “cry baby bridge” is in haskell, oklahoma. i used to live across a field from it and down the road was the haunted indian hospital were the goat man was. my dad saw him b-4

It seems some of you people think its all fun and games to joke about what others claim to have seen or experienced. Crybaby bridge is everywhere, different stories- different towns. Seems to be some odd things happening there, but alot of that can be coincidences.

Cain’s Ballroom IS haunted, check it out when events arent taken place there. Someone mentioned a house in Gutherie, I would love to know where this house is. I lived in tulsa area for 34 years, now I am in Oklahoma City. There is a place in Gutherie in which no one can go to now, as it is private property. It used to be a boys home and people say you can’t stay there very long , whatever is there will run you out. In Catoosa , if you are traveling on Hwy 412 going east towards Inola, there is said to be a boy on a bike who was hit by a car. Every once in a while passerbys can see him on the side of the road with his bike. Gilcrease Museum is said to be haunted as well. I’ve read all of these comments. Unfortunately, I have experienced a lot of these places. First; Cain’s Ballroom. I worked as a hostess everyday when I would go into work many things would happen. The lights flickered a lot.. chairs and equipment would be moved after I moved it to where it was suppose to be. Forunately, none of this happened at any shows that I’m aware of. Now as far as the univ. is concerned.. I have never heard this story. I live in a dorm room at the univ. and that has never happened to me. But who knows it might still be true..
I’ve only been in Tulsa for 4 short years. There is a place is broken arrow which is a suburb of Tulsa that I have seen with my own two eyes a real ghost. It’s a house off of Aspen and 91st street.. My friends were telling me the story about all these witches living there. Needless to say we desided to go see for our selves.. We entered the house and instantly I felt like something was wrong.. but not with me.. With someone dear to me. We walked throu the house and seen nothing abnormal at all. We get to the kitchen which is in the back of the house in the pantre there is a passage door on the floor that lead to the basement. As soon as we opened the door this very cold and awkward feeling hit us in the face. I don’t know why but we ventured down the stairs to the cold, wet, ill smelling room. All over the walls and ceiling were petagrams and old dusty candles as well as torn sheets and or clothing. Of couse I had chills by this time but that wasn’t all I still had this uncontrolable feeling that something terrible wrong is happening to this friend. One of the girls that went in with us was very curious she was looking, and walking around touching things and moving them. I think that was what unset this spirit. She picked up this cloth like material when she did all 5 of us seen this hand grab her arm and push her hard enough to where she was lifted several inches in the air and at least a few feet back. It scared us so bad we ran out of the house. but before I made it upstairs I looked back and seen a full figured white lady in a long froc with an unusual smile on her face… CREEPY!!!
The weird feeling I was talking about referring to my dear friend.. When we left and I got back to the dorm room I called her straight away. She had just awoke from a terrible nightmare in which I was in. She decribed the house to a T and said she seen serveral ladies torchering me and my friends that I was with. The erriest thing of all well make that two things.. One: The friend that was attached by this spirit had the bruise of her arm for a month.. Second: My dear friends lives in Britian, where I’m originally from and she has never met my friends and decribed all of them to me as well as the “ghost” figure I seen.

Many haunted sites are in and around the Tulsa area, Sparkys grave yard west of Tulsa is a haunted grave yard, the ghost of Charlie Yagee is supposed to haunt a west Tulsa manision, and the echo bridge in Tulsa’s down town are but a few for those willing to do the research. The lost city hills, ( better known as Chandler Park ) where a young girl fell to her death around 1917 is said to still haunt the site. Entrance to the lower level parking area. The TU story is a new one to me after 50+ years.

Well I wanted to go to this college, but this story has gotten me thinking twice about this. I went on a tour of TU and they didn’t mention a haunted dorm room….and now I know why. lol

Hi I have lived in two haunted house’s that I know of lol the fist is my chidhood home! Growing up I had friends that only I could see from a very early age my mother would tell you that from the time I could talk I would walk around talking to the air. There were several crazy things that happened but nothing ever hurt us!! They would open and close doors move things and you could feel a draft with all the windows closed, I have felt a male presence along with a little girls I have grow used to them and they no longer seem to be interested in letting me know that they are here either they got bored and moved on or they have found a happier place. And for all you ppl who don’t belive i hope that never get slapped in the face by the ghost who’s trying to get your attention or miss the contact that a love one is trying to send to you! I was luckiy enough to get to say goodbye to my grandmother after she passed, maybe you will too if you keep and open mind. Thx

Having lived in Tulsa off an on for over 10 yrs. I have heard many times that cains ballroom is haunted. I also know of many other areas around Tulsa. My daughter lives on east. 73rd st. and that house has some activitives. My daugher has felt something tapping her back and when she turned, thinking it was her husband, she saw nothing. She was also in the bathtub one day and heard someone say, MOM,MOM. she got up ,thinking it was one of the kids when no one was in the house. My son in law who has never believed in hauntings and thought it was mostly people with over active imaginations has been experiencing hearing voices, feeling a presence. My 17 yr. old grand daughter does not want to stay there anymore. She said she heard someone knocking at the door, only to find no one was there and she says, she senses something watching her. All of the household have experienced the feeling of being watched.
My daughter and I are no strangers to paranormal activity but her husband and my granddaughter are, so this is odd to them.
