I have some real issues of individuals not giving accurate information. The previous person stated, "Some faiths in Christianity and Judaism for that fact still use animal sacrifices which is against the law in most states but they are doing their form of worship as they have had it passed on to them." I live in Belton and I am a Jew. In Judaism, animal sacrifices stopped in 70 A.D when the Jewish Temple in Jerusalem was destroyed by the Romans. No Jew would offer sacrifices these days and even if they did it could not be done because Jewish Sacrifices were only done at the Temple in Jerusalem. Once animal sacrifices stopped, prayer took its place. Please get facts correct before posting. There are no Christian denominations that practice animal sacrifices that I know of. Most Jews and Christians would consider animal sacrifices offensive.

I was hoping that this would not be like so many other sites. I have only read two stories and the comments and I am going to leave this site and probably;ly never come back. IF you are serious and have seen these things good...if not then just keep your mouth shut and 10 inches with a whatever you said that is not scary or even funny. The truth is that there are lots of places in Missouri that are haunted many more than are listed here and the places are truly full of some kind of extra ordinary things. I live in the SE part of Missouri and I have seen several real things here in different towns. IF you do not know what you are talking about just shut up and that will help everyone. As far as Satanic stuff goes there are real Satan worshipers and these are people who are true their belief. These people are not some kind of people who are looking for a thrill and leave behind ultra offensive trails. They are people who like Wiccans are worship their beliefs clean up the signs of their worship and sometimes never use the same place twice for worship sometimes they do and if they are interrupted they will politely inform the ones interrupting to leave them alone until they are finished with their ritual. Some faiths in Christianity and Judaism for that fact still use animal sacrifices which is against the law in most states but they are doing their form of worship as they have had it passed on to them. Satan worshipers are not evil people necessarily but they do have the right to worship as they do because this is the US where there is the freedom of religion. So I have had my say and all of you who think it is fine to use offensive language and to act like so many have in the posts I have read good luck in your pathetic lives..you have a lot to learn to the ones who are truly dedicated to the paranormal worlds there is a lot of activity in this area. Come visit and you will be amazed Most of the pathetic ones here do not know even basic history the Trail of Tears Native American forced migration went through Missouri as well as many other states and many things happened along this trail of Human suffering. The US Civil war (in case pathetic ones do not know that there are many civil wars around the world) the state of Missouri was a torn state and many battles happened within this state creating many things that are unusual. Plus there were slave holders as well as those dedicated to saving slaves with the underground railroad. So Pathetic Ones learn some history and some geography and then maybe you won't be so STUPID.Old lady full of spells

Trina, it's off the 155th street exit on south 71 Hwy. That's the best info I could give you. My co-worker seems to belive Kara Kopetsky went missing out that way. I don't know. I never stayed longer than I had to!

i just went to the towers today, they aren't anything special, just 2 old farm towers that some punks spray painted dicks on and wrote fuck you and made poor attempts at drawing swastikas, there aren't bones or voices or any of this crap, they are just concrete grain mills, we even climbed the ladder up the side and to the top of one of them. don't even waste your time visiting. there are a few places near by that are sketchy as fuck and will scare the shit out of you, but I'm not letting those leak because they're pretty awesome

Ok I found a way in...go down to E.155th St from 71 hwy. Turn west and about 250ft or so is an old blocked off road. It is called N.Scott ave and it looks like one of the concrete barracades has been set aside enough to drive down the road. I don't know how over grown the area is but the road dead ends a ways down. You'll need to hike N.W. about 2500ft to get to it. It will be a hike so prepare to be tired. I also suggest going mid year to allow the over growth on Scott St to help hide the vehicle(s).

I found it on Google maps, and the silos are still visible but it looks like all the side roads, the good ones, are gone or blocked. It is about 1000 ft from Hwy 71 to the west and straight south about 1500ft from 150 hwy. Funny, I used to patrol that area about 6 years ago and never new it was there. It looks like the best way to get to it from the east, off of 71. There are several parking lots to park in which are public but you'll need to cross the rail road tracks on foot and hike about 1000ft or so. Once you pass the 2 ponds you should be getting close, they are by themselves in a very open section of land.

My brother and his family live in Belton MO in a haunted home. The house is over 170 years old and boasts an impressive history. Many years ago, the children saw ghosts of confederate soldiers, music would play randomly but you could not make out where it was coming from and and unexplained shadows appeared outside of the house. Since they made changes to the structure of the house the unexplained happenings have diminished but there is still an uneasy feeling there.

I have heard about the towers at Richards Gebaur and other satanic stories from rural Belton and Stilwell on the Kansas side (Belton borders the State line). I used to live in Stilwell and after we purchased our home a couple visited us one day to tell us they were previous tenants. They said the house was haunted and devil worshippers had lived there. We had planned to rebuild the house as it was uninhabitable, so it was demolished and a new beautiful home was built - we never experienced anything paranormal. We had other relatives that lived on an adjacent property in an older home. We once slept there in a basement room and my husband and I both heard a baby crying - a newborn cry. We had no newborns in the family, so we asked the relative and they said they hear it all the time. No one could make out where the sound is coming from.

There are many stories about people in dark robes dancing around fires in rural Belton and Stilwell but they are probably just local legends that developed over the years. There is so much local history in this area - the Santa Fe Trail runs through Stilwell and most of the town used to be the Blackbob Indian Reservation and the Shawnee Indian Mission. There are bound to be some ghosts lingering.....
