That was the stupidist story that I have ever heard. Who was the nut that put it on the internet? I was born in Detroit and have never heard of any ghost stories. There are no ghost. When your dead thats it. No more. All gone. make room for the next one.

Well, I can’t say if it is truly haunted, but I can say that a women in white died there. My brother and a close friend of mine witnessed it.

It was a girl in a white prom dress. Her and her date were on the bridge, stuck in traffic. For whatever reason, she got out out of the car and her boyfriend went after her, she jumped the bridge and as she was about to hit the water, was hit by a boat.

The only reason I know about it is, like I said my brother was there. It was our schools prom as well, and everyone went to Belle Isle after. I was not there, but…again, dont know if it is harunted, but I think it is. My brother and his friend have been back since, and both say it is.

I have never heard of this, but hey you never know it could be true.I personally dont discriminate against ghost stories b/c if i have never witnessed a certain story then how would i know this is not true. so for the people that dont belive this but also have never witnessed it, what makes you able to say it is not true?

Yeah, I tryed this once, because I heard about it. If you look up old Detriot news papers in a Detriot library, you can read about the girl commiting suicide on the Bridge. She was about 18, I think it said, and She jumped and landed on the side of a boat, breaking her neck. He boyfriend (didn’t disclose name) is supposidly still alive. Sad but true.
When I went and tryed this, it was at 3 am in the morning (the girll was said to have died at 2 something) and I saw something…if it was a girl, I do not know) and then it looked at me, turned, stepped onto the edge of the bride, and fell (jumped) or whatever. it was weird… but it didn’t scare me, nor did the person motion me to follow “her”.

Does anyone know about anything haunted on Grosse Ile? I was there today on the free bridge and the heaviest feeling came over me, I could not wait to get off that Island. Did something bad ever happen there?
