In 1991 I took my children to visit the ship. We were having a wonderful time exploring the ship and trying to imagine being at sea. My husband decided to climb up stairs leading to the navigation area. He and my son went first, my daughter and I behind. My daughter and I became very dizzy and sick. We both had to come back down. I thought it was strange that as soon as we came down we felt fine. I wonder if anyone else has had a similar experience?

My husband and sons spent the night on this ship this summer for a cubscout camping trip. Of course, it is virtually impossible to sort out creepy noises when there are 100 screaming little boys around you, but boys were the last below decks for bed and my son has always said he saw a barefooted ghost wandering the decks by one of the guns.

The ship is in Mobile, Alabama not Mobile, Indiana. It’s a beautiful part of history but of all the times I’ve been on it I’ve never seen anything unusual. You should go and decide for yourself.

When I was younger, I heard footsteps and laughing men on the ship. This has been about 6 years ago when 8 now im 14 and it was beautiful ship and I havent been in since then so, hopefully (if you enjoy this type of thing) you can visit it and it BE PROVEN that im not lying.
