Westwind Intermediate School
There is a haunted school named Westwind Intermediate in Phoenix. One day two girls got into a fight in the girl’s bathroom and one of the girls was stabbed. The other girl never got caught because she cleaned up the blood and buried the body in front of the school. Whenever somebody walks in the bathroom you can see the bathroom doors shaking. Some girls say that when they go into the school, they can hear the murdered student screaming.

I’m not really sure what to say about that. It’s unfortunate that a young life was taken, but like Rebecca and Inga-Lee Rennie said, how do we know about this story if the girl was never caught? Oh, by the way Inga-Lee, I’m sure ghosts can’t do whatever they want. I’m not saying I know for sure, but according to just about every religion in the world, spirits have a pre-determined path based on their life before death. I mean, I’m no expert or anything, so don’t take my word for it, but it kinda makes sense, right? I can understand if you don’t agree, I don’t know everything, but surly one can never forget, or simply walk away from a traumatic experience like that. Can they?

After reading this story I really had to laugh. I live here in Maricopa County. Just trying to plant a tree in the ground here is a major undertaking (pardon the pun). About 6 inches down you hit a hard pan that you have to break through with tools or water. Also, “in the front yard”…you’d think someone would have noticed the suspect digging and also no one entered the girl’s room while she was cleaning up and dragging the body out to the front…hmmmmm….

Wills is right, I’m an AZ native and on top of never having heard this story, I really can’t fathom a little girl burying another litte girl in the front yard of anyplace around here.
A story I have heard, a legend if you will, is that of La Llorona. A lady in white haunts the canals looking for her drowned children.

actually it is in west phoenix; south phoenix is all farms, gangs and hookers. wassup south mountain high! anyways, i went to that school for one week for what was supposed to be my 7th grade year there. I never saw anything unusual, but that place had the weirdest vibe. It was so dead feeling and didn’t have the normal, happy aura that a school usually has. and it was a k thru 8 grade and for it not to have a good feeling with smaller kids around tripped me out. that place seemed like it sucked the life outta people and they were all walking around like zombies. this story surprised me, cuz i had never heard of it til now. some of the details in the story seem like **** or misconstrued, but it makes me wonder now, since i had such a bad experience. and initially, i was so excited to go there. and then it turned out like that. i hated is so much, that i made my mom send me to another jr high that was rumored to be full of gangs…better than that place!

Hey everyone,I moved to AZ fromMI about 3 years ago,this is the first I have heard of this,but,I have done some ghost research,the story might be true to some extent,most “ghost”stories are based on some truth but added on to ,sorta like a game of telephone like you played as a child.Maybe a death did occur but the part about a child burying another child in the FRONT of the school can’t be.Even I know that planting anything in AZ is almost impossible unless you use heavy machinery,thats why most dead people just get dumped in the desert around here,so the moral of this is simply that if you look at the underline story,it could be true.

Uh-huh. Well, I live in Australia, so I don’t go to any of these schools. I just really don’t want to go back to doing my biology report. But-I do have one thing I really need to get out of my system. Did you guys actually read the comment left by the person who wrote the entry- yeah- I thought not. She said that she made it up. Just letting you know because all of you are starting to repeat what the first couple of people said. Anyway- Love you all, whoever you are, and wish me luck that I don’t fail biology. I am 44 years old now. I was class of 1981. I went to Camelback High School, on Campbell near Camel Back Mountain. Is it still there? or is that the school you are talking about? By the way I have always been able to see ghost. It seems so natural to me I often wonder why some poeple can’t see them while others can?

FINE!! well later im going to go to neveda stories. i know one. my mom works at summerlin hospital in vegas. well my mom is a nurse in the ER and there is this ghost always closing doors and pushing folders and stuff on tothe ground. i’ve seen it. my brothers nintendo ds was on the bed. no one was on the bed when it just is flung to the ground. i felt someting cold but hospitals are always cold… this is true i promise. im not sure if its a ghost, but it was on the middle of bed and went off as if someting strong did it. Personally I think this story is a little too far fetched for me. If she killed the girl during school, why didn’t anyone see her dragging the body outside? I mean, if she was a little girl, she wouldn’t have been that strong to drag the girl behind her easily, so I’m sure that there was some noise that someone would have noticed…and then for a little girl to dig a hole to fit a body in? Especially with no one noticing in front of a school…I’m 20 and I don’t even think I could dig a hole that deep! I beleive this story was made up.

Oh man, something tells me that one is just plain made up. Even the name of the school sounds fake. If two girls got into a fight INSIDE of the bathroom INSODE of the school, it would have had to have been INSIDE or regular school hours. That means there is no way INSIDE of hell that a girl could have killed someone, and burried them in front of the ******* school. Nice try though. Makes for a good goosebumps book.

First thing is first, I have lived here my whole life and i have never heard of this story. second this school is just west of 19th ave and on northern, i had friends that went there. third, i went to cortez high school, and there is a story of a guy that had fallen off of the catwalk in the auditorium. this is a common story that is at every school. i know this because a friend that went to greenway high, heard the same story when they started. this story is false, and if it were true id like to see the evidence. and finally my last point is this, if it were a girl that for say killed this other girl, it would have to be during school hours, because how else would the bathrooms be open, how was she not caught in the middle of burying this other girl during school hours, in the middle of the day next to a busy road as northern. for all of those that believe this story i feel very bad for you, and you are very gullable for thinking this could be true.

I also agree w/ the comment above mine… that catwalk story is at every highschool atleast in the glendale HS district believe me i would know …I go to slope and i know people who go to all of the other schools in the district and each one of their theater teachers has said that story at least once!!!

OMG, I went to Westwind for 4 years. This is the first I have heard of this story. The only thing that was strange is the time the whole back end of the school by Ms. Black’s science room, Mr. Eid’s shop class, and Mr. Olsen’s band room was closed off for almost the whole school year so the Asbestos ceilings could be replaced. I guess it was kind of eerie in the halls back there, but probably because we were not supposed to be back there and that part of the school was completely deserted.

Well this story might not be totally true like how it said it is but Im going to tell you this, just reading this story over and over again tells me at least the basics of this story is some what true, I mean come on there are other crazy stories out there that we didn’t even think of but then soon finding out that it is true. Scary stories dealing with ghosts usually are unusual because some spirits love to play tricks on humans like us so they will get us thinking and then getting us confused about whats going on. Its just their own way of fun and saying Hello!!!

My name is Daryn Runnels and i went to Westwind when i was 17 and i am now 25.That story doesn’t seem to real for me either.Maybe the violence part but not actually burying a girl on school grounds in broad day light.My ex-girlfriend Jennifer Fletcher also went there and she can vouch that these stories are absolutely ludacris and untrue.When we went there then maybe it’s possible , but now that schoool has been totally redone and im sure the tolerance for fighting is at ZERO….Thanks

I also live in AZ and i never heard this story either. buth there is this one place called the Hotel San Carlos. Where a woman jumped from the roof. And a man commited suicicide. both of these people were unnamed. It was also built ontop of the districts first school so people reported the sound of children running and laughing up the halls even when no children are checked into the hotel. scary.

I’m also a Phoenix native & I was a student at this school, years ago. I never heard anything like this, don’t believe it’s true. Never even heard any rumors of ghosts or someone killed in the girls restroom. Never had anything weird happen.

I went to that school since i was in kinder. the story is not true but yes you do hear sounds, the water turns on by itself and the light shatters on and off when your by your self. you should go and try it for your self.
