One is a beautiful home on Kearsley street in a nice section of town. This is probably the haunted house as it was at one time a residence. The other is a group home for children situated behind Hurley Hospital on the north side of 5th, this is the one referred to as being in a rough area. Anyways, I used to volunteer there as a young child with my mother for tours and such, spent a significant amount of time there. But I always sensed an odd, negative presence there. The college area is very pleasant. I never heard any stories about Whaley House, but the house is very nice. It gives me something to do next time it is open. I will have to check it out. The area is very safe and is nestled between UM-Flint, The Flint College Cultural Area and The East Village neighborhood which is filled with very old, architecturally beautiful homes. The Whaley House is Flint's only historical house museum and is open to the public for tours. The home has been fully restored and is AMAZING - truly a gem for those who like Victorian architecture.
