I have done extensive research on paranormal happenings in White Bluff,being as I live here,and unfortunately this story is completely made up. Wish there was something.

The story above was the same as what I read in a Haunted Tennessee book. I think it said it hovered above the ground, was covered in flames, and had a skull head. True or not not, that story left an impression on me. Scary but something I almost would want to see if it was safe.

The white screamer is also known as “la llorana.” it is originally from mexico. it is woman in white who screams and cries at night.

People fear and cannot except what they do not understand. they always want proof, and yet I ask this question … do they believe in God and chances are they will say yes … then in turn I will tell them to “show me proof” I want to see a picture of him. and they can not do that, so therefore they are asking for something that may be impossible for another to provide themselves. I have lived in White Bluff for over 30 years, I have seen strange things , I have heard strange things. Yes there was at one time a black panther that lived in the woods .. but it never bothered anyone. it rarely came out of of the woods except to go to the creek and no one ever bothered it. Not sure if its still around though. It was 20 years ago when i seen it. I didnt believe it at first either, except from what I had heard from 4 other people.After I seen it, I knew it was really there. Same goes for the White Screamer. wether you believe in it or not, once you encounter it, you will believe.

Well I have lived in White Bluff all my life ..(33yrs) and I grew up down at the bottom of Trace Creek rd.. in the Hollow, or I like to pronounce it ..the hollar lol. And I have heard things that screamed and wailed and made the hairs on the back of my neck stand up. There was even once when I was younger, a friend of mine and myself saw something in the woods in the middle of the night. I wont say it was that, but this thing was HUGE and red eyes that stared back at us. And when it took off running deeper into the woods, you could hear its feet hitting the ground as if it where loud thumps that were far apart from one another. Not sure what it was, but I plan to find out one day.

I have never seen the White Screamer, but a few of us in a group ghost hunted in the area where the White Screamer is rumoured to be inhabiting…White Screamer? Maybe…Haunted?!??!!?Yes,very and intelligent…We did capture many EVP’s of all ages along with orbs, faces, and an apparition of a dog stretched out by someone in the group’s feet. For the skeptics,(I would be too if I wasnt there)- check out Myspace-Hickman County Paranormal Group for the Werewolf Springs pictures…Contact me with any questions, and by the way-I did go to the library to look the history up, many deaths in the family around the same time, but there is no reason stated…If anyone has anything solid please share!!!Thank you

I saw the white screamer…it IS real!!! i was outside when i heard a loud scream…first the scream of a woman then of a baby crying..it was so weird.. at first i thought it was a coyote, so i ran inside and got my brother, and we went outthere with a flashlight…we both saw a Misty-white silloete (idk how to spell) and it screamed and dissapeared…we went to where the ground it was standing over..and it was all mashed, and twisted and burned…the grass was knee high too! IT IS REAL…TRUST ME!!!

Listen all you ones who do not believe in Berry’s story of the white screamer, I’m here to tell you the story is true. I’m from White Bluff I was raised in one of those hollers that is mentioned Sulfer holler and one night my uncle was walking home like he always did and the road to sulfer holler is pretty dark with only a couple of lights, anyways as he was walking home he kept hearing footsteps behind him but there was nothing there, as he would walk faster the footsteps would walk faster, at this time he was getting pretty damm freaked out so he started running well it did to as he got close to our home he looked back to see what it was he wished he never had. he was screaming so alwful that my granny and pawpaw, and my mom ran out on the pourch to see what was going on and thats when they seen why my uncle was running and screaming. Yes it was the white screamer, when my uncle got up to the pourch this thing ran in the corn field across from our house, On up to the day my uncle died he would talk about this thing and you could see the fear he had in his eyes taling about it. My family always said they never seen anything like it. As soon as it hit the holler that night they said they heard the most hair raising scream they ever heard, it gave them chills, But as far as I know it has never harmed anyone. I think its just as courious about us as we are of it. But even though I love White Bluff and miss sulffer holler I dont think I want to find out.
