Real Haunted House

Wiamea Lookout

Oahu, Hawaii

Located at this lookout is an ancient burial ground. Around the grounds, there are many rocks that are not supposed to be taken. If one drives up the road to this lookout, he will count ten road bumps. Upon return, however, only seven will be counted.

Where did you people learn to type and spell? Did any of you graduate from at least Kindergarten? Is it really easier to use so much slang? Your grammar and spelling is a true testament to the fact that you must be a complete idiot to believe any of this ****!

ahh haa..non believers..why people gotta act so hard..you know what..here in hawaii..we do believe in spirits..we know what is true and what isnt..we experience dem ourselves thats y we believe..and yah its Waimea lookout..right around the turn from waimea bay..up the road..theres a heiau up there..for ya mainland peeps..a Heiau is where rituals & sacrifices took place..not sure on burials..still standing till this day..and i can bet you step foot in it and you will end up sick..or somethin bad might happen to you or family of yours..as for the “lava” rocks..very true..take’em from their place and you will be returning them i will be money on it..anyway..gotta see to believe right..someday you might see..maybe you wont..peace..ALOHA

So you people from the mainland don’t believe in these stories. Let it be known, the one who least believe will suffer the most horrific fate. Closed minded people are either ignorant or lack in common sense as I have seen many come to these islands and return home either in a casket or missing their body parts or their loved ones. If you still consider calling the locals “LIARS”.. then a fellow pastor of a catholic church is considered one. He has experienced “spirits of the dead” walking or lurking amongst the living. Try and prove to a pastor that “spirits”… or ghosts as we call them… are figments of our imagination. We all have a choice to believe. For those of you who still deny the possibility of spirits among the living… go ahead and pea on the stones of one of our ancient heiaus (shrines)… and then see what happens. Don’t blame me if you anger the “undead” and either you or your loved one suddenly passes on.

And just for your info, hundreds of mainlanders have sent back stones with notes attached to them… taken from Kilauea volcano on the big island… with horrific tales of bad luck. I read a select few which stated that while in possesion of the stone, members of their family mysteriously perished for some reason or another. After hearing the story of taking the stones, they sent it back, in which they hope the bad luck will stop. Too late… their loved ones were already dead…. but the person responsible for removing the stone remained alive…. only to suffer more without family.
Think I am making that up? Go to Kilauea volcano and take a stone for yourself. Or if you are too scared to do so…. read the stories which are on display in the glass case over there and then call all of those people who took the stones and call every single one of them “LIARS”.

I believe that if we are not totally sure about something we’d better not mess with it at all.I believe in spirits that cannot move on and after years of research i’ve come to the conclusion that if you mess with THEM, THEY will mess with you.Even if you are not a believer you have no right to doubt what someone else believes in.If you don’t believe, why do you search this site?Out of curiosity?I don’t think so…

wow…all I can say is if you are the kind of person that wants to step on a crack then you deserve to get the broke back…the hawaiian legends are not to be messed with, the mana and the history is rich and deep and surrounds all the islands. I am a local girl who is now in the military and for most of my life I respected but did not believe the legends or stories. When I came back from England however, which by the way was were I had my first ghost “experience” my eyes and senses were opened. I experienced the “crushing spirit” an old woman hovering over me, at a house in Makakilo, I had a lonely spirit of a man haunt me at an old apartment on Waiola St. in McCully. These experiences cant be explained but take it from a former skeptic, these superstitions are NOT to messed with or made fun of. If you do, its at your own risk.

For the mainlanders who dont beleive, Open your mind to possibilities. I know things that are unusual and unknown are shunned in modern day, but being a hawaiian myself, i grew up learning the legends and stories. I have a great amount of respect for my ancestors, and also a very strong connection. They talk to me, and guide me to help me grow. You may be thinking i’m crazy, but whats so hard to beleive about it? If you could hear your decendents, helping you prosper in life, would you doubt it? As for non-believing, just because you cant see it, doesn’t mean it isn’t there. You can’t see air, or the wind, but yet you know its there. For the tourists comin t our island without and knowledge of what they’re getting into, be cautious. As with everything else, nothing can exist without a balance. Yes Hawaii is a very beautiful place, but it also has is dark secrets. Come and see for yourself. And for all the hawaiians that read this and agree with me, Mahalo.Non-Believers, Please respect others, our beliefs, and our culture, becuase we dont ridicule you.

What surprises me is all these “jesus believers” and christians who come on this site to criticize people for believing in ghosts. I have nothing against christians, but, um, if you believe in Jesus so much, what are you doing in this site in the first place?

Tatiana says:

I went to that place while i was in Hawaii but i never knew that. The only thing i know is some king pushed his army or someone elses army over the edge so now when you go up there it is soooo windy that you can not fall off the edge. The reason why it is soo windy is so that no one else will ever be pushed or fall off the edge ever again. The wind is belived that it is sent bby the army. Also a legend is told that if you go up that peek with meat or something, that the old haunted wolves will come and make you get in an accidant before you reach the top. I dont know why but thats what i was told…I go to hawaii a lot and im moving there next summer and thats how i knoww this. I have friends who have told me this too.

for DEBBIE..first off, you were questioning on whether or not “you people” know grammar, or even graduated kindergarten. I understood what they were trying to say just fine…maybe its because I’m born and raised here in Hawaii. They were attempting to type the way they speak. Pidgin english. We aren’t stupid here in Hawaii. We just do things differently. I’m sure you are an ignorant woman that’s quick to judge. You should come to Hawaii, we’ll show you some “aloha spirit”, stupid haole..Whether or not these stories are true, they are part of our island culture. You have every right to have an opinion…but as for me, I believe. I am one eighth Hawaiian and am proud of it!! I don’t think anyone should judge these stories, because who knows??? My mother has a few stories and I don’t doubt they are true.

and for MARIE….yah I highly doubt you are in a full body cast because you ” stood right next to the volcano”. I don’t think so, hun. You aren’t even allowed a mile away from the active volcano. How do I know? I just went to Hilo…we hiked miles in, but it was totally blocked off. I’m sure security might have been different a month or two ago…but sweetie, don’t you have any common sense??

ARGHH. people make me mad…IGNORANCE will never die, but seriously, can people at least TRY to be considerate and understanding of different cultures??

I know its seems I’m a hypocrite for calling Debbie a stupid Haole…but for all the locals reading this…do you really blame me??
