Real Haunted Houses

Real Haunted House

Wiccan Circle

Kalamazoo, Michigan

This house is said to be very haunted. A total of eight people have died in one way or another in the house and they are all thought to still reside there. It is said that one may experience faucets turning on and off, coasters flipping over, and footsteps throughout the house. There have also been reports of the appearance of a glowing cross. Others have alleged to be held to the bed and shoved down the stairs. Beneath the carpet in the basement, there is reportedly a Wiccan circle carved into the wood.

I went to WMU and be to some creepy places…TB Asylum is a fun at night, now there are cameras there and cops patrol constantly..but it’s very cool, there used to be a swing set up top the would rock by itself…also be careful the elevator shafts are wide open, if you fall in your in serious physical trouble, but it’s a nice site! Also, the old paper mill..especially it’s powerhouse with the smoke stack creepy place at night, you can hear the pipes creak as if someone is turning the knobs to release pressure…plus the small stream running beneath it adds to the experience…be careful here though you can fall in!

Once I ate a grape. It was juicy and savoury. Then suddenly, its ghost appeared and ate ME. So here I sit inside the belly of a dead grape.

THE END

A good Haunted place in Battle Creek is Webster apartments, formally Kulp Court. Unlike most haunted sites, this place is still up and in use. I use to live there, and some VERY freaky things would happen on a regular basis. Crashing sounds (like dishes, pots and pans), knocking on doors, ghostly yelling and whispers, and something that happened to me often: Coat hangers in my closet banging around, even when I would immobilize them! Other stuff people have told me included stomping sounds from vacant apartments, cold spots, apparations, and lights blinking on and off.
If anyone is interested in knowing anymore, e-mail me at demaray@netzero.com and I’ll give you more details.

I lived in a house, 433 Hutchinson, off of south westnedge in Kalamazoo. That, my friends, was pretty freaking creepy. The house is actually very small, but in certain parts…primarily the back part of the house near the pantry and the basement, a very negative feeling can be felt. It’s like you’re being watched. A lot of people mentioned feeling creeped out near the pantry without me or my roomates saying anything. One night when me and my girlfriend were in bed and our roomates were gone, the motion light in the pantry kept going on and off. At one time the pantry (which was located right outside ourbedroom)was actually part of another bedroom in the rear of the house, but our bedroom was added and the other room was turned turned into a halway and the pantry when the house was remodeled. I believe the negative vibe in that house made all of the roomates fight. My best friend since childhood and I have been in many stupid fights, but yet havent talked since we moved out of that place. We found a mace ( a weapon which consists of a spiked ball and chain) hidden in a corner in the basement. I am scared to know what kind of stuff may have gone down in that place.

This comment is in regards to the old TB asylum off of North St. in Kalamazoo. The reason people have mistaken it to be in “portage” Michigan is because it was actually called the Portage Asylum back when it first opened. VERY creepy place! I have also been to that cemetary off of Miller road ( was nearly eaten alive by mosquitos getting there hehe ) but one of the most fascinating things about that place was the erie original brick road!! Very hard to see had to sweep away leaves and debris to see. My mother worked for years at the Kalamazoo State Hospital, and I have heard many stories about that place as well. ( there is a video on youtube of the Kalamazoo Asylum taken not to long ago which is also very erie). There is a house on Hayes Park that was also said to be haunted, as well as the West Main cemetary, has anyone ever heard anything of those two?

does anyone know of any haunted places in the downriver area?
i do know that my mom haunts her house. when she died, i found her in the kitchen, it was a heart attack. my husband and i fixed it up and put it up for rent. during the process of packing all her stuff, a friend of ours was sitting in the living-room, a few feet away from a couple of boxes. the one box had moved by itself rattling the contents.
we would get there at night to do repairs or remove more things, and lights would be on (we were the only ones with keys) i went there alone and was painting in the basement and could hear noises up stairs and the floors would creak as if someone was walking up there.
not ever telling the tenats what happened. the guy worked with my husband, and had come into work saying that every night when him or his wife would wake up and go into the kitchen, the hood-range light would be on. in which neither had turned on. and the back porch light would be on.
he couldn’t understand why the lights were on. my husband then told him that my mom died in the house, and every night before she went to bed she would turn the back porch light and the hood-range light on.
that she was just sticking with her nightly rutine.

i know its not like crazy and scary. but if any one lives in melvindale, mi you may know of the house. its on wall st down from the police station.

I demand to know where this house is located since I’ve had close encounters with the after life. i WANT THE EXACT LOCATION!

I suspect that people don’t put up exact addresses to these places in order to avoid any potential law suits or privacy issues. Many “abandoned” houses are still owned by SOMEBODY who might not take kindly to having ghost-hunters trespassing on the property. Chill out. Go to the area and ask. if it’s got a big enough reputation, somebody can point you in the right direction.
