Wiccan Circle
This house is said to be very haunted. A total of eight people have died in one way or another in the house and they are all thought to still reside there. It is said that one may experience faucets turning on and off, coasters flipping over, and footsteps throughout the house. There have also been reports of the appearance of a glowing cross. Others have alleged to be held to the bed and shoved down the stairs. Beneath the carpet in the basement, there is reportedly a Wiccan circle carved into the wood.

203 glendale in parchment is creepy. I used to live there and could hear voices often and was held down in bed a couple of times. It still won’t sell. Hmmm

i have seen stories posted about the “old miller rd cemetery”. one stated this is on miller rd almost to galesburg. if you take miller rd “almost” to galesburg isnt it ML ave at that point? anyone know where this is? when i search the net the closest i can find is listed as an “abandoned, badly vandalized (sad) cemetery” listed as either ford’s hill cemetery or ford cemetery- depending on where you look. it was once described as having a brick drive near the road that cant be seen due to the fact the it is covered by dirt and leaves. exact location or good directions, anyone??

Julie, it sounds like Charleston (Riverside). Take I-94 to the 35th street exit and head north (towards Galesburg). That first traffic light just off the highway is Miller Road. Take a right and Miller dead ends at 38th…the cemetery is on the corner.

killer, it’s not that easy. this cemetery is marked on the county map and is on or off of ML ave. the map is not very detailed though. it is always described as “hard to find”. if you search kalalmazoo county cemeteries you’ll eventually find what i am talking about.

If it’s off ML close to 35th it’s ford’s hill. I plan on finding it when snow is gone. I mentioned riverside since it is on the mentioned “miller road”.

32nd street used to run off ML to the right between 31st and 33rd. It used to connect to Miller road before I-94 came through. It’s on private property now. The owners won’t let you visit the cemetery, cranky old lady!! She said if I came back with proper identification I could go check it out, my drivers license wasn’t good enough? She couldn’t tell me what she considered “proper identification”. I don’t know how the person who says they visited it last summer was able to without trespassing. You could chance it and park along i-94 and jump the fence!

I really like the description to this story; “…A wiccan circle is believed to be carved into the wood…” And that effects a haunting exactly *how* ?
That would have nothing to do with it. I’m Wiccan myself and I am so fed up with dabblers and pre-teens doing love spells and defacing property of others with wiccan symbols, giving the rest of us a bad name.

Bravo Thalo! I’m not Wiccan but see your point.

I think it would be interesting if someone would get ahold of Ghost Hunters and have them come and do a show about these places. I find all this so cool.

I have lived in the k-zoo area my whole life. The castle some of you speak of is simply a bed and breakfast now. No strange happening at all. The house on the south side near Vine area, not haunted, it’s owner was in several wars and was “shell shocked”. Was always hearing things from his war days. He went as far as to run off his own children-saying they were his enimies. He held himself up in his house untill the day he died by one of his own “traps”. The house still sits empty. None of his kids could bring theirselves to do a thing with it.
