Wiccan Circle
This house is said to be very haunted. A total of eight people have died in one way or another in the house and they are all thought to still reside there. It is said that one may experience faucets turning on and off, coasters flipping over, and footsteps throughout the house. There have also been reports of the appearance of a glowing cross. Others have alleged to be held to the bed and shoved down the stairs. Beneath the carpet in the basement, there is reportedly a Wiccan circle carved into the wood.

I lived in the ‘Pot leaf’ house directly across from the Football Staduim fall ‘83to spring’84. I slept in the down stairs front room. I had several episodes following the death of a puppy I had rescued from animal control (distemper). At first they were just ’strange things’. The strong smell of roses, which no one else in the living room with me smelled. Text books missing, then reappear days later on my dresser (not roommate tricks). The basement always scared teh hell out of me and I refused to go all the way towards the front area, which reested directly under my room. At night I would hear scratching in the wall behind my bed- told my self it was mice. Then one day I went to get in the shower and found 3 scratch marks on my left chest- I was a nail biter- so not self inflicted. One day laying on the couch waiting to leave for class- no one home- I heard footsteps from the kitchen to a bedroom behind me. Then the sound of a penny jar being turned upside down. I finally got up to see if my roomate had come home- no one was in the room and no way to get past me to leave unnoticed.I finally became used to being the sole target of this haunting- so I named him Oscar.
Once we moved out- I had no real issues in other house we rented. But much later, and still periodically I experience strange occurances. Nothing as unsettling as the scratches nor as persistent. I have not idea if this is the same entity (Overly friendly or Foe) or if I have been ‘marked’ in some way for other to ‘come through’ to me.
Unless it has become a family residence- it probably still has one bathroom downstairs, down a long hallway (used to put up paper to write on at parties on those Walls), with 2 toilets facing each other, two side by side sinks and two shower free stand stalls.
I would be interested if anyone else has had an expereince in this home- prior to mine or since. It’s been 25 yrs and I still can’t forget that house, Or ‘Oscar’.

I am the co-author of the Paranormal Michigan Book Series. I am currently writing a book on haunted locations and legends in and around the Kalamazoo area.
I would love to hear from anyone that has had a paranormal experience regardless if its a home or in a cemetery. If you desire, all names are kept confidential. I am also interested in anyone visiting the interior of the last remaining building of the Kalamazoo Asylum (near Mount. Home Cemetery). Since I know that location is abandoned, all names will be kept private.
Please email me at: nicole@paranormalmichgan.com
I would love to hear from you!!

So, I am not sure if this is the correct house or not, I know a lot of people are saying that the correct one is around vine, but I am thinking this one sounds more fitting. On Milham Rd, there is a house right before the bridge going to texas corners on the left hand side. It is set back and there is a driveway leading up to it. This place has some MASSIVE bad vibes and from what I’ve been told, a messed up history. The house is secured by some security system so if you decide to check it out, be careful.

Killer,
I’d like to see some of the pics you have of the Ford’s Hill cemetery. I’m trying to find this area on Google Earth, but there are far too many trees to see anything. I think I have at least isolated the area. I see where Miller Rd ends on the north side of 94 and where 32nd would be on the south side of 94.

19198 Harlow St. Melvindale, Mi. just off of Outer Drive, between Allen Rd. and Dix. I believe there are three ghosts in that house. We lived there from 1962-1977. People say we lived in the house longer than anyone else. You don’t want to go in the basement!

As a paranormal investigator based in Kalamazoo I can tell you that there are lots of haunted sites in and around the area. What I would like to address is the concern of people breaking into some of the areas that are hazardous and condemned (i.e. TB asylum, paper mills). There are reasons that these areas are fenced off and patrolled. Many of them contain high amounts of asbestos and other dangerous materials, not to mention that the buildings may not be structurally safe. Your lives are not worth the thrill of the hunt. The paranormal is awesome, but please follow the rules and be safe.
