My husband & I visited New Orleans back in February. We happened to be there during Mardi Gras; it was AWESOME. We were there for 3 nights, stayed at the Hotel le Cirque. Lovely place, New Orleans, the hotel. We NEVER heard of this “fountain” and we asked about any & all haunted or scary places in N.O. Things get made up to spark interest and cause “drama” which is clearly what it has done here.

Fear of witches and the Wiccan religion is deeply rooted in cultural stereotypes. The fear comes from misunderstandings of what deities witches worship, and the nature of spells witches cast.

Witches do not worship the devil since they do not believe that a devil exists. Witches do occasionally cast spells, but most true Wiccans who follow the Creed of “do what ye will, yet harm ye none,” will not cast any spells that cause harm or interfere with another person’s free will.

Sacrifice is another thing that is often thought of as part of the religion. However witches and most other pagans do not practice it. I can’t even count the number of times I’ve been asked if I sacrifice small animals or babies.I don’t know of a single witch or pagan who practices any type of sacrifice.

Don’t be ignorant, research before you judge!

All of you all are whacked in the head. This place is very real. It’s where the witches, God, and I go to make cat/dog soup. You only hear them barking and meowing until the water starts boiling and then that usually shuts them up. As far as the virgins being raped, somebody is mistaken. They probably heard “oh” “oh” and thought it was “no” “no”. But I assure you the sex is consentual.

I lived in ponchatola,La all my life and their is this one street that freaks me out everytime i go on it.There is this tree that a slave lady was hung on.When it rains the tree smells like purfume,I have witness this myself.Then when my mother was younger she and her friend were going to a friends house and they saw this man on a horse with no HEAD.I dont know if it was a illusion or what but she was very serious when she said this.also these two couples were in the car late one night and the car suddenly tipped over on two wheels…..

Hi my name is Jade But my witch name is Rosemary, me and 3 other people I no are serious about wanting to become a good witch we’ve tried everything but we haven’t become wiccas yet, we’ve tried a spell that was the only one that came true I want to know how I can become a GOOD witch, oh and I think i’m being haunted or followed by a witch or witches. It all started wen I was young first came Halloween and I dressed up as a witch, then I woke up one nite and saw two withes with a coldren NOT A DREAM! and so I ran into my mums bed and they ran after me but wen I jumped in I looked back and they were gone and ever since I hav been sleeping in my mums bed because it’s like a barrier nothing can get me! And now EVERY HALLOWEEN I my sister and I see BLACK CATS! one time 1 was following us and we looked back and it was gone! and not too long ago my sister and my dads partners daughter wanted me to sleep out in the loungeroom with them so I did and all of a sudden I woke up a saw a witch glaring at me about 5 or 6 metres away from me then I heard a meow and I looked back and I saw a glimpse of a cat. I didn’t sleep that whole night and was sweating like mad but i didnt want to move. that morning I told the girls and my dad but none of them believed me, it’s so frustrating to not have anyone believe you. Aam I crazy or not?

I’ve seen what “people” will do in the name of their “god”. Whether it be God the Father or god the almighty dollar. People will use any excuse to do what they want and get what they want. I don’t need to use God as an excuse or to blame Him for whatever I may do. I choose to do the things I do. I must say I agree with you, Carina. Religion has been and will continue to be used as a tool of/for hate. However, “true” religion is one of love and forgiveness. Sadly we don’t see enough of either of these anymore.

You can believe what you want, but I have seen what man will do- in the name of their God,There isn’t anything christian in it. I have also seen these same ‘wonderful’(said as sarcastic as possible) purveyors of the word will bend what is written to suit their own mindless desires. These are likely to be same that can’t accept change and fear anything different and will use the bible as a weapon to rid the universe of its presence instead of living as a christian would. Think about it- how many times has religion been used as a tool of hate?
