Yellow House
When this house was first built, it was inhabited by a young couple and their newborn baby. After being fired from his job, the man decided that he had no choice but to kill himself and his family. Enraged, he took a butcher knife and sliced his wife and child into pieces, placing the slices in the refrigerator. The insensate man turned the knife and dealt himself a deadly blow to the heart. the knife and stabbed. Today, if there is a full moon, one may see the slices moving about the house.
this is the stupidest ‘ghost’ story ever. Honestly, slices of people floating around? and, please, take a typing class, an english class or something and learn how to write a competent sentence, will ya?

I am from Dothan (which is less than 5 miles from Ashford). My ex-boss is from Ashford and used to speak of a yellow house that she lived in when her two sons were younger. She said that when Shane, her oldest, was a baby that the spirit which occupies the home would do her laundy…she would see her clothes and the baby’s clothes floating in the air while the ghost folder their clothes. He never touched her husband’s clothes and once she had Matthew (and Shane was no longer a baby) the spirit wouldn’t do anything for Shane. Not exactly floating body parts, but I can assure you that this story came from a credible source.

And Wendy I get what your saying but you have to agree this story was bogus! Most on here are good and I believe! But this one is like me saying someone killed a pig in the field next to my house one day and then one morning when I was serving breakfast my kids bacon fell out the window and landed on the lawn. I have heard of this story about the yellow house in Ashford Ala. but,the story I heard was that the man killed his family then killed himself and on a full moon you can hear the cries and screams of his family as he kills them.

well I know a story kind of like that one except that the people were killed by a dog you see there was this old couple in which the woman was crippled and stayed upstairs all the time seeing as she had no way to get down and every day her husband would come home and walk up the stairs to check on her before making dinner and retiring for the night. One day while her husband was out to work she heard a creaking noise coming up the stairs,” honey is that you” she called out knowing that it was too early for him to come home. No answer. “Honey” she called again as she began to roll her wheelchair around to the top of the stairs to see what was there. She turned the corner to find a big black dog staring at her growling and showing its teeth then it attacked killing Mrs. Owens, the wife, when Mr. Owens returned home he found the screen on the door had been busted and suspected something to be wrong as he hurried in he called for her, no answer and again no answer. When he made it to the top of the stairs he fell backwards over the railing upon seeing his wife’s body killing himself to this day at about 4:17 you can hear the creaks in the stairs followed by rustling noises on the second floor then at around 5 a loud thump that ends it all

Hmm…yes, I can see now why it is called the “Yellow House”. I know every yellow house I have been in has slices of people floating around. Sometimes, if I’m lucky, all I have to do is open my mouth to get a slice, but most of the time I actually have to reach for one…but slices of people are my favorite!

I’ll tell you what. The story wasn’t bad at first; yes, for the life of me, I could not comprehend that one sentence “the knife and stabbed.”- but then again, I ignored it taking it as a typo..??
The story however, as I said, not half as bad until I come to the end.. to the crawling, flying, moving slices in a full moon.
First of all - spirits do not appear to us in a manner of their death. They apper as they were during their lives. Yes, if such house existis, it such tragedy happened, perhaps the spirits are still attached to the place, but certainly not in a form of … slices.

Hey, guys, quit getting mad.How do you get mad from this story? It sounds crazy, but pyschotc people have been known to kill their families for idiotic reasons, even dumber reasons than that. So, please, save your crying because anythings possible. Even slices floating around, because it’s whatever the deceased person or spirit is thinking about is what we see, so it’s basically their conscious, their spirit, not thei mind.

In the late 70’s I lived in Brentwood Tn. with my parents and brother who is 5 yrs. older than myself. The house we lived in at the time had been a hospital during the civil war. When I was around 8-9 yrs. old I woke up for no reason to find a soldier standing at the foot of my bed. I know know I was not dreaming and I could see this soldier in detail. He had on a uniform that had tassells hanging from his shoulders. He had his right arm bent to his left side with his hand on top of of sword this was bent like a sword was during those times. As I looked up toward his face there was nothing but a haze or smoke and a face could not be made out of it but on top of this haze sat a hat with a long feather on the right side. I could feel that this spirit was watching me and knew that I was looking at him. He floated not walked but slowy drifted out of my room then down the hall and went to my brothers room. I got worried for my brothers safty and went to his room to find nothing was there. At the age of 8-9 yrs. old I had not known the story of our house or the history of that area. My brother also had a visit from something around the same time. My brother was 13-14 yrs. old and we had not been a church going family. One day my brother came out of a locker room after a basketball game to have a lady he had never seen before approach him and asked if he ad been saved, my brother said he did not know if he had or if he ad not. The lady asked if she could pray with him and my brother agreed. My brother tells me that something went through his body that felt like a electric wave had passed through him and he felt completely at ease. He returned home and begain to tell my mom and dad tht he had been saved and how great he felt, my mom and dad could not believe that out of nowhere my brother was feeling so strong about what had happen. My brother was telling everyone his teacher his freinds and other family members about his new look on life and at such a early stage and no church background given to us by our parents it was strange. My brother tells me that is when his fight began with good and evil. He was fighting a battle to be good and do right and evil was always trying to get at him. My brother was in his room one night listening to his stereo with is headphones on laying on his waterbed and he decided he was going to test his faith. So he said out loud to himself in his room if there really is a devil the next song is going to be Rocket Ride by Kiss, now at this time Kiss was the biggest thing going in music but Rocket Ride was a song that never was a radio played song, sure enough the song he was listening to went off and Rocket Ride came on, my brother states that every hair on his body stood up and he was frozen still in his bed only to have something lay down next to him, he said he could see anything but could feel something next to him and as he looked at the bed he could see an imprint in on the covers that something was there. My brother did not know what had happened to me and I did not know what had happened to him till 29 yrs later we were in Brentwood for the holidays and went by the house for old time sake. I asked if he had seen experianced anything in that house and we shared stories. I asked who the lady was that saved him that day he said he had never seen her before that day or since and he belives it was his gaurdian angel. I am not telling this story for a religous reason in any way. I am telling this story because it is the truth.
